Hi Caryn Families! Monday, May 6, 2024 kicks off Teacher Appreciation week at our school (May 6th-10th). The theme this year is Hollywood VIP Red Carpet-You’re a Star! We’ve created a schedule of daily events planned for teachers and staff to say thank you for all their hard work this school year. (Please note, the ideas listed above are all optional.)

If you would like to participate in the daily activities, we’ve compiled a list of each teacher’s “favorite things!” They will be posted on our instagram feed by grade.

If you would like to see a favorite’s list for any additional Caryn staff, feel free to email Caryn PTA at [email protected] and let us know which list you would like.

Please join us for our last PTA Family event of the school year. Our “Light Up The Night Glow Dance” will take place on Friday, April 26th from 6-8pm at Day Creek Intermediate School.

This event is only open to Caryn Elementary students and their guardian(s). Entry is 5.00 per person and pre-registration at the link listed above is required. Tickets to the dance will be passed out to students as the event date nears.

We can’t wait and hope to see you all there!

Valentine Candy Gram sale begins tomorrow! From January 29th thru February 9th, students can wish their friends and classmates a Happy Valentine’s Day with a gummy bear candy gram! All grams are 50 cents each. Order forms came home in Wednesday folders but are also available in the front office. Each student will receive a candy gram from the Caryn PTA. We kindly request exact change only please. All grams will be delivered on February 14th. ♥️

Today we honor and say thank you to all our Veterans! 🇺🇸

The results of our Cougar Fitness Challenge are in! With your help and support, we raised a whopping $33,235.50!! So amazing!

A special acknowledgment to our top two individual fundraisers, Amara and Duke. Amara raised $4,145 and Duke raised $3,555! The top fundraising class was Mrs. Sanchez with a total of $4,695!!

As a reward for all their fundraising efforts, the top 10 individual participants got to have a special VIP lunch with Mr. T. Additionally, Mrs. Sanchez’s class had the opportunity to silly string Mr. T! Swipe left to see all the fun!

Red Ribbon Week is almost here! This year’s theme is “Be Kind to Your Mind.” Join us as we gear up for a week of dress up days that celebrate the theme. 🐾

Just a small highlight of last night’s Halloween Bash! There’s were food trucks, a trunk or treat, balloon artists, face painting, craft vendors, a book fair, inflatable games, a game truck, a d.j, photo opportunities and so much fun!
A special thank you to everyone who volunteered to help last night. We could not put on this event without you! We captured sooo many pictures last night. Check out our stories and see if you can spot yourself! A highlight will also be created and saved at the top. If you took any pictures last night, we’d love to see them! Tag or send them our way.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who attended. We hope you had a blast! 🎃👻

This year we will be having a pumpkin carving/decorating contest at the Halloween Bash. To enter the contest, please bring your completed pumpkin to the front office anytime before 5pm on Friday, October 13. Voting will take place in the MPR during the Halloween Bash and winners do not need to be present to win. Prizes will be give for Scariest, Most Adorable, Silliest, Most Creative and Most Original. We can’t wait to see all your pumpkins 🎃!
