My mom was preparing dinner, and I thought I'd practice what I learned these last 2 days.

¿Que esta haciendo mi madre? (What is my mother doing?)
Mi madre esta cocinando. (My mother is cooking.)

¿Que estan haciendo mi mama y mi hermano? (What are my mother and brother doing?)
Ellos estan comiendo. (They are eating.)

¿Que estamos haciendo, mi y mi esposo? (What are we doing, me and my husband?)
No estamos comiendo, estamos leyendo. ( We are not eating, we are reading.)

The lessons are getting harder, especially when the student is trying to squeeze in the lessons in between vacation plans. But not to worry, repeating the lessons and practicing as much as necessary is a viable option. 👍
