Most of my clients know that I’m really not a big fan of lip flips. One reason being that they don’t last very long. If someone is looking for a lip enhancement especially an increase in size, I will always recommend filler.

This beauty came to me months ago wanting a little extra plump to her top lip. A little hesitant to get filler, I suggested we start with a lip flip. Fast forward a couple of months later and she was back in my chair for some filler. We started with a Mini Lip and her smile has already improved😍

Are you a candidate for tear trough filler? 👇🏼

The majority of the time I do not recommend tear trough filler. This is because the undereye area is extremely delicate and can easily become puffy.

Undereye dark circles: First I look to see if there is mid-face is volume depletion. If so, then I like to add filler here for structural support.

If we wanted to go even further or if there is no mid-face volume depletion, then I would recommend a series of PRP injections, which can then be followed up with a very minimal amount of filler if needed.

For undereye hollowness without mid-face volume depletion, I will do small amounts of tear trough filler, sometimes separated into two appointments in order to avoid overfilling.

Undereye bags, puffiness, and excessive loose skin are NOT candidates for tear trough filler.

My favorite treatment to brighten and tighten those undereyes!! 😍 PRF/PRP injections are a natural way to improve dark circles and loose skin by stimulating collagen and elastin production.

3-6 treatments spaced every 4-6 weeks are recommended for best results. I usually have my clients start with a series of 3 treatments. Results continue to improve over a span of several months. Maintenance is usually 1 session every 6 months.

That time when my client came in for her second lip building session thinking that she no longer had filler in her lips…… until I showed her the picture of how her lips used to look😂😂😂 we had a good laugh!

Honestly that is why I LOVE taking before and after photos. Not only because they showcase transformations but so we can refer back to past images. We get so used to our appearance from constantly looking at ourselves that it’s easy to forget where we started and the progress we’ve made!

Lip Maintenance 💋
How often should you maintain your lips?

The answer is truly different for everybody and depends on a number of factors including metabolism, product used, amount of product, etc.

Once goal size and shape are achieved, maintenance is typically every 6-8 months.
