Feeling lonely isn't the problem, we all feel a bit lonely from time to time. The important thing is noticing what we turn to when we feel lonely. Our feelings serve as warning lights to deeper issues. If you recognize you don't like how you respond to loneliness, it may be a sign it's time to call your therapist and begin working through this issue.
You don't have to live a life where anxiety steals every moment of peace. We would be honored to be a small part of your journey in taking your life back from anxiety. π We believe you deserve peace.

There are so many things out of our control that we spend so much of our energy focused on. Trying to change things out of our control is a perfect setup for disappointment. Here are a few tips to help us stay focused on the things we can control. π
Start your week off with the reminder that you are capable and worthy of good things. π
One of the most powerful things anyone ever said to me came from a new therapist many years ago. With sincerity in her eyes she simply stated, " I will hold compassion for you, until you can hold it for yourself."
This is what we often do for our clients. Many times they need a safe person to show them grace, compassion, and acceptance so that one day they can begin to show those same things to themselves.
We believe you should offer compassion to yourself. If you need some help and compassion from others along the way, give us a call. π€
A change in our mindset goes a long way. Try to focus on a growth mindset today and notice how it changes your mood and thoughts. π©΅
Show yourself a little love today. π
If you find yourself feeling anxious today, take a look at the common triggers and try to identify what may be contributing to your anxious feelings.
In case no one told you today, your feelings are valid and important. π
Sometimes anxiety is a representation for other feelings that are harder to express. One of the common goals in therapy is increasing emotion recognition, and helping our clients have the vocabulary to express things such as loneliness or shame before we get to overwhelming anxiety.
If you need a little help finding the words to what you're feeling, or finding the root cause of your anxiety, give us a call. We would love to help. π©΅

If you find yourself a little overwhelmed today, this is one of our favorite ways to calm our system. It's no magic cure, but it's a great way to give yourself a healthy way to pause and ground yourself in the present moment. Sometimes if we take the time to calm our thoughts and take even a few deep breaths we can tackle whatever circumstance we're facing with a calmer mind. π€
