In The earliest years of my life, I had a creative father who always used his hands to express himself. All my memories with him are of doing something beautiful together. When I would come to his house there would be a paint easel up waiting for me to create.. or maybe he would have scrap pieces of wood and tools set up for me...He instilled and solidified my heart to create. I don’t do pottery because it was something he spent a lot of time doing with me, I do it because he wanted me to find it. Find whatever it is that gave me life. He spend as much time as he could showing me what it meant to live as an artist. I unfortunately had my time with him cut short when he got lung cancer. I was 10 years old when he passed.
He is very much present in my work. I think of him every time I put my hands to clay. Those memories with him get new life when fire touches earth and ceramic is formed.

I am truly grateful for the blessing it is to have had those years and who it helped me become. And I thank everyone who supports and appreciates art. Art changes lives.

I tried this clay combination a little over a year ago and I’m still obsessed. I have a few ideas for future work, but I’m curious what items you’d love to see in this style?!

Do we want more cocktails cups this spring? I can see myself pool side with one of these babies.. btw totally unrelated, anyone own a pool 😉 •

So I don’t need to tell you things are weird this year. A lot of markets have been canceled or moved to online... with that being said I have lots of new work that will be done very very soon! I’m thinking of trying to have my own small pop up for locals to come support or just sell most of it on my Etsy account... if you guys have any input I would love to hear it 🤗

To whom this vase belongs to now.. I miss her lol. I’m gonna need to make more like this. Maybe with a white matte glaze? I know I have a lot of white but it just makes everything look so good 🙌🏻. •

Check out my bottoms babe! Forming the foot of my pieces is one of my favorite steps in pottery. I will have to post a video of my trimming... it’s super satisfying 😌. •
