THANK YOU treasured Friends of the Redding Eagles-FORE for understanding that the pain runs so deep for the loss of our animal family members, and that we all grieve in our own way. I can't even wash my clothes that have her dog hair on them right now. I was so deeply attached to Barbie and always will be. On many days this dog was the only source of joy I had. She carried me through some really tough times.

But I'll never forget that in between hello and goodbye, there was love. SO much love. I know so many of you can relate. If you've ever had and lost a pet, you know. And I'm glad we're not alone in our suffering. We are grateful for the many years of blessings Barbie gave us; and when the waves of pain come crashing down, that's what we try to focus on.

I know God's plan is always bigger and better than ours. And I have to believe his plan for Barbie is larger than life, just as she was. I'm just grateful she left pawprints on our hearts that we get to cherish forever 🙏🏻 🌈✝️.

The hole in my heart is so enormous tonight I'm confident there's nothing left as my husband and I grieve an unbearable loss 💔.

Barbie Wilson the Dog unexpectedly passed tonight from cardiac arrest coming out of anesthesia after an emergency surgery she underwent today in Elko, Nevada. We are heartbroken. Shattered to pieces. That dog was our whole life 🐾.

When we went to pick her up from the vet at 4:30 today things were good. At 4:40 we were getting discharge instructions on bringing her home. By 4:50 things deteriorated and were were told she was getting CPR. Then by 5 p.m. we were told that she died 💔.

It happened so fast we're still struggling to make sense of it all. Just yesterday she was out enjoying the Snake River Canyon with us. And today she's gone ✝️.

I will never forget the shock I felt in that moment and still feel. I couldn't believe the words I was hearing. It's like the room squeezed in on us with an echo chamber where I couldn't make out the words she was saying: "I don't know what happened. Things took a turn for the worse. They are trying to reseccitate her. She's undergoing CPR. It's not looking good." I asked what she was telling me. Then it sunk in. And my heart says it can't be real. But my brain knows it is. And my body feels hollow.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of the most precious little pup that pranced the earth. In her time here she blessed so many with the joy her presence brought with her. She gave us the gift of happiness and pure love--a loyal love that only dogs can give us. And they give it to us freely. We don't deserve them, yet God gives us a chance to show our pure love in return. We did our best Barbie. I hope you felt the true love we had, and will always have, for you Sweet Sweet, Shrimp Foot, Shrimpy, Hallway Dog, Doot Doot, Shrimpy Von Shrimp Foot the Dog, Handful of Dog, our Best Dog Ever.

As we sit here in shock, completely soaked in sorrow and tears... Ed and I are reminded of all the wonderful memories Barbie gave us. God puts pets in our lives when he knows we need them and then takes them back over the Rainbow Bridge when they have served their purpose on earth. They deserve better than what we can offer them here. Barbie always deserved better. She was just so pure, not a single bad thing about her.

But while we had her here, we celebrated Barbie Wilson at every moment, taking her everywhere, with a common quote of saying, "She is always with us." And she was; she is, and she always will be. I learned about true, selfless, unconditional love by loving her.

We will keep Barbie's memory alive by commemorating her on her Barbie Wilson Fan Club page with all the adventures she had in life. She sure did live it to the fullest! And although she may have crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier than expected, tonight we got a sign that she is with my late best friend Trinity. And we are comforted amidst the heart-wrenching pain. And I'll never forget that in between hello and goodbye -- there was love. Sooo much love.

The last thing Barbie had on before she passed was her 'Big Dog Energy' hoodie. So fitting for a tiny dog who was larger than life. The caring staff handed it back to us with stamps of Barbie's paw prints and nose print, as we held her one last time to say goodbye.

We handed Barbie's lifeless body back wrapped in her pink paw print blanket so it could go with her. She loved being wrapped in blankets like a baby. Every cell in my body is aching as I recount the day. It started out fine. I still can't fathom how it ended so tragically for my little girl, my best friend, my everything.

The only thing bad about dogs is they can't stay with us forever. If you have a precious pet who has passed, please know Ed and I share your grief. We would love if you would share their names and photos below so we can see that we're not alone in ours 🙏🏻. And if you have pics of Barbie or with her, please do share those also.

We'll always love you Barbie. There will never be another you. Loving you changed our lives. Losing you did the same. If our love alone could have kept you alive -- you would have lived forever.

REMEMBERING THE VICTIMS: The mass murder suspect in Maine wrote a note to a loved one with his phone's passcode and bank account before he was found dead about a mile away from his abandoned car.

Robert Card indiscriminately opened fire inside a bowling alley and bar in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday, killing at least 18 people and injuring 13 more.

Maine Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck said the paper note he left behind wasn't "an explicit su***de note, but the tone and tenor was that the individual was not going to be around."

Two nights after the shooting - around 7:45 p.m. Friday - law enforcement found Card dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside one of about 55 to 60 metal trailers in a recycling center's overflow parking lot.

His body and two guns were found inside one of the unlocked trailers, which are essentially long, rectangular metal boxes packed with waste and other garbage in the recycling center's overflow lot, Sauschuck said on Saturday.

An ATF agent said Card legally purchased all the recovered guns "somewhat recently."

Exactly when Card died is still under investigation, and that could take time, Sauschuck said.

On Friday, the 18 victims who lost their lives were released.

PRAYERS FOR THIS FAMILY 🙏🏻💔. "The Sandlot" star Marty York's mother -- Del Norte County Sheriff Deputy Deanna Esmaeel -- was found dead at her home on North Bank Road in Crescent City Thursday morning, the department announced on Facebook Friday.

Esmaeel's death is being investigated as a homicide, and police issued an alert as they searched for the suspect, whom they identified as her boyfriend Daniel James Walter. According to the alert, Walter legally changed his name to Edward Patrick Davies. The Del Norte County Sheriff's Office said Friday evening that the suspect is in custody.

York confirmed his mother's death in a statement that he shared on Instagram Friday.

"This is the hardest post I'll ever have to write but I found out from the sheriff department last night that my mother was murdered by a man she was seeing," the 43-year-old actor wrote alongside a photo of himself with Esmaeel and the wanted flyer released by the Del Norte County Sheriff's department.
