Sometimes you just need a plate of meatballs to bring you back to better days.

The comforting aroma of slow-cooked meatballs in a sea of sauce, is better than any meditative practice that i can think of.

Perhaps this is why the author,Judith Krantz, referred to my kitchen as the “Zen Kitchen”.

Health Slaw.
Add it to you bbq this Labor Day

Green cabbage,shredded
Purple Cabbage,shredded
Carrots ( any color) shredded
Sunflower Seeds
Dried Cranberries
Lightly Steamed Broccoli,chopped

Optional:
Tangerine segments
Strawberries

Dress:
Lemon Juice
Honey, preferably local
Organic Mayo or Vegenaisse
Almond Milk or water to thin out dressing
Optional: poppy seeds

Method:

Add honey to lemon juice to prefered balance of sweet and sour. Add mayo ,stir well, then thin out with almond milk or water. Add seeds if desired. Toss dressing with veggies.
