Free fun for readers, because it's that kind of day! Cuddle down with a PHANTOM STALLION novella, The Protector
terrifarley.com The Phantom didn’t look back at his mares and foals. He focused on picking his way up the rocky hillside. He must be careful. One dislodged boulder could snap his slim legs or bowl him over and send him tumbling back to the valley floor.
Wishing you all the joys of the season and horses,of course-- real ones, fictional ones and the ones that prance through your dreams !
Merry Christmas from the tiny misunderstood !

What? You can't give a pony for Christmas? Quick swap: consider giving books from the PHANTOM STALLION series to awaken readers to the wonder of wild horses. My books have sold over 2 million copies worldwide, but there are still plenty of readers who don't know about the West's wild horses. To spread the word with hardback, paperback, Kindle or audio books, start at your nearest bookstore or here: bit.ly/3BSNsmn

Wild Horses Carry Me Away Pack your camera and climb into Nelly B. We'll head out into the Nevada high desert mountain ranges!
She strikes her dog in the face, yelling because it won't get out of her baby's car seat. Baby isn't in the seat btw. Dog is a breed w a reputation for being "vicious" but it just acts confused. I don't think that's what it means to "be the alpha," or whatever she thought she was doing. There are lots worse problems in the world, but I'm having trouble shaking off this glimpse in a parking lot.

WILD WINTERS : Winter Warmth
With just one week to go in our Wild Winters advent series, we bring you Winter Warmth, a little breath of warm air in a frigid corner of northwest Colorado.
It was -25F when this series was captured and the wild horses were huddling for additional heat, nuzzling and breathing warmth into each other's thick winter coat.
As beautiful as these winter scenes are, and as tough as mustangs are built, this can be an incredibly challenging season for all wildlife. Scores of wild horses remain unseen this year in Sand Wash Basin after last winter, along with large populations of local elk and deer, whose numbers were reportedly down by at least thirty percent.
The pair here is believed to be 2017 c**t Levi, out of Belle and Mateo, and Melody, a 2015 mare, who was also in Mateo’s band.
We are publishing a different Wild Winter image ever day in the run up to December 25, offering each image as a special daily print which can be combined with an additional free print of any image of your choice.
If you would like to acquire today's print of Winter Warmth, head over to this link on my website and simply indicate the name of the additional print you'd like in the space for messages.
Happy Holidays!

'Wild Beauty' Documentary Exposes the Mistreatment of Wild Horses in the West | The Atkin Report Majestic scenes of wild horses roaming free on the range loom large in the American imagination. Yet what many people do not realize is that the federal government regularly rounds up these beautiful animals because it says they are overpopulated on literally nearly 30 million acres of land in the W...

Indigenous people of the American West used 'sacred' horses a half-century earlier than previously thought Indigenous oral histories and archaeological evidence are rewriting the story of how horses came to the American West.
