Engine repair consisted mostly of replacement parts. A tree branch fell through the engine hatch damaging the front end alignment. All new brackets, circulation pump, filters, gear l**e monitor bottle and belt. We also went through an entire routine service including Oil change with filters, water pump kit and drive service. After a serious detail and upholstery work this boat will be ready for Tahoe!

We found water, rust and growth in the cylinders from exhaust manifold freeze damage. The water backfilled through the open exhaust valves and sat in the combustion chambers all winter. Excessive corrosion to almost all the engine components. Complete engine rebuild or replacement at this point. Borescope images show cylinder contamination. Even the wiring harness is falling apart.

Had my hands full with this one today!
Waterpump impeller job which of course turned into a corrosion nightmare! But she’s purring and pumping now.
Hydraulic steering pump was puking oil all over the dash so that needed replaced. Of course the old pump couldn’t be rebuilt bc of corrosion, rust and metal shavings found inside the pump.
Customer provided a brand new pump but of course that didn’t fit without some custom fabrication. Built a new bracket for the pump to replace the old hole in the helm. Bled the system
of all the old rusted fluid and she’s steering with one finger like butter now. The customer and I discussed options and more future work to come. Thank you for being a great person and better customer.

My fire career started with North Lyon Fire and it shaped me into the firefighter I am today. Confident and comfortable in front of my peers. I always strived to bring an optimistic attitude to the station every shift. I learned everything I know from my seniors and mentors along the way. You all know who you are. This morning I left the station as a full time employee for the last time.
I’ve accepted a position with the NNSS as firefighter EMT.
It was awesome working along side all of you.

I remember this training like yesterday. It was a pretty rigorous program. 5 days a week 8 hour days. It was equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in one year. This program helped prepare me for the fire service as it was structured very similar to an academy. Crisp uniforms and shined boots. We always made the motorcycle mechanics look bad 😂
