Last call at The MidNite Popcorn Palace. ✨🍿❤️🙏🏽✨

We’re super excited to do the MidNite Popcorn Palace one last time in front of the Melting Pot for Dancing in the Streets this Saturday July 13th. This is the 25th anniversary of the Popcorn Palace!! It first appeared on the Playa in 1999 as a small pushcart. Over the next 16 years we went on to do the Popcorn Palace 8 more times in Black Rock City as a Theme Camp and Mobile Palace, as well as dozens of times off Playa at Burning Man Decompression Parties and lots of special events over the years. It’s estimated that we’ve gifted approximately 8,000 pounds of Popcorn To The People!! Hope everyone comes out to help us celebrate our 28 years in business and our last Burning Man season at our brick and mortar store. The shop will be open late till 10pm for the big street party!! ✨🍿✨

Battered by roadwork then pandemic, Melting Pot World Emporium is closing Midtown store Lingering effects of road construction, pandemic are forcing owners to close one of the businesses that kicked off Midtown Reno’s revival.

Melting Pot World Emporium Closing After 28 Years Although the store didn't announce an exact date, it said it will close after this year's Burning Man season.

After an incredible 28-year journey, it is with heavy hearts that we must announce that The Melting Pot World Emporium will be closing its doors after this year’s Burning Man season. The exact closing date TBA.

We have taken immense pride in curating an amazing collection of globally inspired fashion and accessories, jewelry, home decor, art, exotic treasures, spiritual items, and smoke shop. We have been honored to work with scores of amazing artisans, fair trade manufacturers, indie designers, unique companies, and individuals, locally and worldwide. We’ve made so many great friends along the way!

For almost three decades, it has been incredibly gratifying for us to be in a position to help celebrate and encourage diversity and unity in our community by supporting the arts and fostering an atmosphere of cultural diversity. We truly loved being your official ticket outlet for Burning Man, Brüka Theatre, Fresh Bacin Productions, and countless independent shows, performances, and fundraisers over the years.

To all our incredible Melting Pot team members/family today and over the years, we’d like to express our deep gratitude and appreciation for your passion and dedication in helping us create such a magical shopping experience and atmosphere.

As this chapter ends, we are excited for the next one. We are committed to continuing to serve our community through our website and seasonal pop-ups. We look forward to staying connected with you all. In the meantime, we have no intention of quietly fading away, but rather going out with a big hearty celebration of our long legacy!!
