Today I got out of bed, prepped my hair with Olaplex No.0 let that sit for 10 mins
Then I applied Olaplex No.3, brushed it through, and threw it up in a bun
Now I'm at the gym getting my workout AND hair repair treatment AT THE SAME TIME

I know your time is very valuable, and you don't always have 45 mins to just sit and do a repairing/ conditioning hair treatment.

That's why this works so well for me. When I get home I will shampoo and condition my hair with Olaplex No.5 & No.5 to finish the treatment.

I've been doing Rachelle's hair for over a year now and we've achieved the brightness we want throughout. So now we've been just touching up with a partial foil and tone. Sometimes less is more! We need to stop working harder and start working smarter. Leaving some depth within the interior of the hair actually makes the blonde pop brighter!

Looking to do something a little different and add dimension, but still want to have brown hair⁉️

Liz was looking for just that! So I did a strategic foil placement that I learned from to give her that dimensional color she was looking for

Followed by a rich root smudge and tone formula I created specifically to compliment Liz's skin tone. We also gave her a big haircut, but you'll have to keep your eyes out for a future post I make to see that👀👀👀

In order to get pops of color in your highlights, you need depth behind them!!

Here's a little visual if what I'm talking about

I only do a partial foil on Tina to give her those beautiful ribbons of caramel highlights you see here on the right. And on the left, you can see all the depth I leave in her hair. Sometimes less is more!! I think us hairdressers sometimes over foil and go too light overall, not leaving any depth to create that contrast.

But with the knowledge and skill I have, I can strategically place your highlights so that you get that pop💥 that you're looking for

HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY GRAM

I took this weekend off from work to celebrate with my favorite person, my Grandmother, Mary Burns♥️
She turned 90 years young this past Friday!

To celebrate we started out by visiting in Latham to get her free birthday donut. The young girl who helped us out was the sweetest, and ended up giving us 2, rather than 1 free donut to make her day feel extra special. Shout out to that girl, I wish I got your name!
We then headed to where Gram is a local celebrity with the workers and patrons there. Treated like royalty she was given a night's stay in their hotel, prepped with a box of cupcakes right from Villa Italia. We then headed downstairs to have dinner at Dukes Chophouse. Our waitress Leslie knows Gram's order like the back of her hand exactly how she likes it! Leslie confessed that Mary is her favorite guest and to show her love she made her a homemade carrotcake, and brought it in as a surprise for my Grandmother! I'm so blessed to have so many people who care for my Gram♥️
During our meal, we were noticed by the table next to us who happened to be the Vice President of Rivers Casino, Jeff Cutri, and the Goldstein's. They so graciously sent us desserts to the table and paid for our entire meal! What an incredible treat! It just made our whole night!

If you know me, then you know that my Grandmother is very important and special to me. She had a lot to do with my upbringing and has done a lot for me in life and I'm forever grateful for her.
I want to give thanks to everyone who helped make my Grandmother's 90th birthday extra special💕♥️💕

Back To School Hair Color!!!

I can't believe it's almost September!! But you know what that means, school starts soon!!

Callie had some old grown out brassy box color in her hair that was not going to cut it for her first day back to school.

So I worked my magic on her, gave her a balayaged look, and myself, Callie, and her Mom are obsessed!!

If you haven't heard about the Wolf cut yet, I guarantee you're going to start seeing it everywhere. It's the latest trend that has taken over TikTok. The popular look started trending in South Korea in the mid-2000's but has gone viral here in the US just this year.

What Is The Wolf Cut❓❓
The Wolf cut is essentially a mix between a s**g and a mullet haircut. It's choppy and full of texture, framed by soft, graduated layers around the face. The client can choose whether they want it super wild, or chilled out. It is also a gender neutral haircut so it's for all humans to try!

How did I get Molly's hair to the perfect shade of blonde you ask?

Time and Patience!!

As a client you have to understand that certain colors take multiple sessions. I've been doing Molly's hair now for 1 year and we feel we finally PERFECTED her color. When she first came to me she had some pretty grown out roots, and believe it or not her natural color is medium BROWN. So our first couple sessions were a more dimensional blonde, which also looked great, but just know that you're not always going to get that picture perfect Instagram photo in one session.

I don't know about you, but my hair is VERY important to me. It's literally one of my best features💁🏼‍♀️ But it's taken me a while to get it just the way I like it! I did a lot of color switch ups in the past 10 years. Black, to red, to copper, to auburn.... But for the last 5 years I've been gradually going lighter.

With all the color changes I put my hair through I really compromised it's integrity, and with that came a lot of Necessary (but unwanted) haircuts. I wanted to keep the length!!! but also needed healthy hair.

THANK GOD FOR OLAPLEX! I swear OLAPLEX has saved my hair. It's growing so nice and long now, and when I'm due for my haircuts I'm only taking off 1 inch, rather than 3.

Golden Honey Blondes are making a come back and I'm obsessed❗❗❗

I think there's a misconception about ash tones and gold tones. I feel like clients get Triggered when they here words like warmth, and golden. "No Red!! I Hate Red" Admit it, are you one of those people??🙊🙈🙈

It's ok! I get it! And you're not alone! But I'm here to tell you that if you want those BRIGHT beautiful blondes, your stylist is going to want to add Some gold into your formula.

The reason for this is warm tones reflect light and cool tones absorb it. So if you've been struggling, feeling like your blonde is looking dull and washed out, you might just need some warmth added to it! This could be achieved as easily as just getting a toner.
