It was a great week for COG in the Pacific Northwest! I had the opportunity to photograph part of the event and I wanted to share some of my favorites from the event!

Hi Friends.
It has been too long and I thought it would be good to share a quick update.
While I’ve been surviving on more caffeine than I’d like to admit, these days have been good. I’m currently closing up my first year of teaching 4th grade as we get ready to dive right into conferences and summer camps! Meanwhile, you’ve probably seen me take a few photos here and there.When I started this page, I originally hoped to capture stories through the lens, and maybe write a blog to go with it, but the reality of sitting down to write with 3 kids and me with my attention span stressed me out more than it should have. 😅 So I thought about changing the name on my page, or even deleting the page all together. After all, anything outside of my comfort zone scares me. I thought taking pictures outside during the fall would always be my limit, but recently I’ve been given an opportunity to be challenged. God has been generous with this calling that He knows I love so much. A few months ago, I photographed a women’s conference, and just recently a youth rally with our youngest strapped to my back along for the ride for the first half of the rally before he found a baby friend to play with. While in the presence of God, showing up, working and moving within the younger generation. Sometimes you can’t put words to someone else’s pain, but watching the deliverance of Jesus happen through my lens has been the most wholesome beautiful stories I've ever shared. While I've been watching all kinds of people step out of their comfort zones to surrender to Jesus, I've had to do the same. I have no idea what I'm doing half the time, but through photographer friends helping me and people giving me opportunities to get better along the way... I can honestly say, photography has been one of my favorite kind of ministries. With that being said, I'm determined to overcome the challenges that come with dark rooms and low lights, I'm determined to learn my buttons, and I'm determined to show you more Jesus through my lens!!!

I had a big learning win with these photos recently. I shot them all manually while adjusting my own shutter speeds as needed, so I'm sharing! 🙂

Bittersweet moment as we wrapped up our 3rd session. Watching this baby through his mother’s pregnancy, his sister’s 1st birthday milestone to now…has been such a beautiful and endearing experience. 💕

It’s always fun when life reconnects you with people all over again! 💕 This is one beautiful family!

The Everts Engagement:
This love story holds a special place in my heart. One, because this is my baby cousin and his beautiful bride to be. Two, because it is so unique and significant to watch a man transition into both husband and fatherhood when you know God is answering his prayer before his very eyes. Three, it is humbling to watch a family birth something new from the lens of my camera.
