WORK OBJECTIVES
• Stock supply cart and use the amount of supplies that are in accordance with standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply cart and storerooms
• Clean guest rooms, which includes, but is not limited to, stripping and making the bed, gathering and emptying trash, cleaning mirrors, dusting furniture and fixtures and mopping and vacuuming
• Clean guest baths, which includes, but is not limited to, cleaning bath fixtures, commodes, shower/tubs, floors, walls, and mirrors
• Replenish guest rooms and baths with amenities, supplies, and linen and terry in accordance to standards
• Inspect room for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly and make small repairs such as replacing batteries for the remote controller, replacing light bulbs, etc. Report request for repairs to supervisor or maintenance department in accordance with hotel procedures
• Inspect guest rooms and baths to assure quality standards have been achieved
• After cleaning each guest room and bath, report room status to the Executive Housekeeper on duty by following hotel protocol
• Achieve productivity and quality room and bath cleanliness standards by following established room cleaning process
• When done for the day store cart and supplies in designated areas, remove trash to the garbage, restock cart, seek approval to be dismissed from the Executive Housekeeper
• Preform any additional tasks that have been assigned
• Ensure that your list has been completely checked and turn in final list with room updated status marked on each list

JOB SUMMARY:
As Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for aiding in the supervision of the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests. This position is that of a working manager, where time would be split between room inspections, team member supervision, and laundry as well as cleaning rooms. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise and inspect daily cleaning of the guest rooms, guest corridors, elevator foyer area, vending area, service areas including linen closets, staff restrooms and storage area to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests.
• Educate and train all employees in compliance with hotel standards. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred; previous supervisory experience also preferred.

Position Summary:
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for all duties of the Housekeeping operation and cleanliness levels in all areas of the property. Responsibilities include staff training, inter department communications, and staff scheduling. Promotes an atmosphere that insures cleanliness and teamwork.

Primary Responsibilities:

Sets a friendly and professional tone for the Housekeeping staff to follow.
Handles basic scheduling needs by monitoring the forecast and occupancy levels daily to ensure adequate staffing each day. Assigns daily work and communicates priorities for housekeepers. Effectively manages labor costs taking into account occupancy levels and budget guidelines. Independently handles request for days off and vacations
Communicates Riverfront inn Sure Stay Collection by Best Western standards for servicing of guest rooms to all housekeeping staff. This includes: linens and guest amenities, uniform arrangement of all guest room supplies, furniture, and fixtures.
Inspects the work of all housekeepers on a regular basis to ensure that expectations are being met.
Participates actively with the General Manager in monthly Quality Assurance inspections of guest rooms and common areas.
Effectively manages the development of the housekeeping staff by defining the expectations and offering the necessary coaching.
Ensures the security of all master keys and follows hotel procedures for key control.
Manages the lost & found system. Ensures that procedures are followed to track found items, return guest phone calls promptly, and forward lost items to their owner in a manner that exceeds expectations. Maintains a file of all lost & found report forms for the previous 12 months.
Oversees laundry operations to ensure quality through proper use of chemicals, procedures, and inventory management.
Oversees the security and inventory of linens. Submits quarterly linen inventory and purchase requests to the General Manager by the end of each month.
Handles basic functions in property management system.
Monitors inventory of all guest room supplies and cleaning supplies and orders as needed.
Manages expense control.
Monitors all housekeeping equipment and coordinates repairs with Chief Engineer. Will arrange for service with vendors when necessary.
Manages the deep cleaning project schedule by identifying work to be done and scheduling the work at the appropriate time.
Stays proficient on all aspects of emergency procedures and handles training for housekeeping staff. Works with management to develop and test emergency procedures.
Works with housekeeping and front desk personnel to insure communication between the two departments. Coordinates the training of front desk personnel in the basic housekeeping functions with the Front Office Manager.
Works with maintenance and housekeeping personnel to insure communication between the two departments. Coordinates the training of housekeepers in basic maintenance functions and expectations regarding work orders for any needed maintenance.
Oversees the continual training process of all housekeeping personnel. May facilitate cross training in laundry or breakfast.
Supervises the Continental Breakfast service by staffing, inspecting, and communicating with staff regarding expectations.
Handles the pre-screening and interviewing process for new hires.
Ensures that housekeeping staff performance reviews are conducted after 90 days and annually for the purpose of providing feedback on job performance.
Works with General Manager in conducting warnings and terminations of housekeeping personnel.
Handles special assignments or events as directed by the General manager.
Takes a proactive role in monitoring compliance with L&I and OSHA safety regulations. Trains housekeeping staff on safety procedures to prevent workplace injuries.
