Been awhile but here’s a cute little girl in a ghost dress that glows in the dark.

First pair of stays coming along nicely! Time to add boning and then I’ll be hand sewing the binding. Why did I wait so long to do this? Can’t wait to start a pair of Regency Stays for Jane Austen inspired frolicking!!! 🪡❤️☺️

New pattern coming tomorrow from Ellie & Mac! I’ve been testing this pattern these past couple of months and I’m so in love with it! So many options! I’ll share my other versions later this week!

My first completed cardigan. I’ve made so many things since I started crocheting in December but this is the first thing I completed for ME! I love it so much.

This sweater is made up of one back panel, two front panels and two sleeves. They are worked from bottom up starting with the ribbing. Then I added 8 rows of half double crochet to create the collar. The original pattern called for a button placket but I didn’t want buttons so I continued the crochet up the front panels and it created a really pretty detail where the collar and front placket intersect.

I wanted to test my skills with Norah’s birthday outfit this year and I really think I succeeded! Pleats, invisible zippers and butterfly wings. I am so proud of my work and even better my kiddo loved it. What more could I ask for??

I haven’t posted much recently because it’s been crazy busy. I’ve been testing patterns and sewing up already released patterns for promo weeks. I’ve been very happy with how they turned out. Especially my new top, not only is it adorable but I actually had a chance to show off a make for ME for once, lol.

This week is crazy too, Norah’s extra fancy birthday dress is my main focus along with coordinating shirts for my husband and I to wear alongside her on her 2nd birthday!!

I’ve got so much on my sewing/quilting table and my crochet lap. 😂 Can’t wait to share!

This commissioned crochet blanket was a labor of love! it was a very simple project, but I had so many projects happening at once that it often sat waiting for me to come back to it while I was enticed by quick projects that gave me instant gratification.

I gave myself 3 days to finish the body of the blanket and the border and with some encouragement and determination, I completed it and I am so proud of myself! Seeing the finished result gives me a true lesson in patience not only with the project, but with myself.

Project Information: Two row repeat granny stripe with a herringbone half double crochet border.

I’ve been working on a project for the last week that will be finished tomorrow and I’m so excited to show it off, but I made this little ghost today just for fun.

03/15/2023

I crocheted my first ever amigurumi! It’s a little mini version of my daughter’s favorite (well loved as you can see) stuffie, “Huckie”.

I am now obsessed with amigurumi, it was so much easier than I expected and I did it in about 4 hours total… Looking forward to trying out more patterns!

The Marieke Wrap Dress Pattern is here! This dress has been SEW fun to make! It looks fantastic in a variety of fabrics. I’ve used DBP and rib knit in the pictures below!

My favorite part is how easy it is to color block! That is so in right now and this pattern makes it a breeze to achieve! I know you’ll want to get your hands on it!

It is on sale for $5.95. The sale ends on Sunday, March 19th.

Second quilt top completed this week! I went from being too intimidated to start any quilt patterns to not wanting to stop. I pieced this on my 55 year old pink Singer. It was very satisfying.

Now the quilting for both my quilt tops can no longer be avoided. 😅

A new pattern is coming to Ellie & Mac Patterns on Monday and I was lucky enough to be in the test group!

03/09/2023

My first ever COMPLETED quilt top is now sandwiched and ready to be quilted. This has already been a lot of work but it’s made me feel more excited to complete my first quilt top I started last summer! Only took 8 months! 😅

Been a busy week! Last night I gave a presentation on projector sewing and even though I was super nervous, I’m so happy I did it. Having a projector has allowed me to create more things, easier and quicker! I love creating and sharing this with other people so they can create more too!

I also finished matching dresses for myself and my SIL so that we can wear them to afternoon tea at the Jefferson this weekend! I’m very happy with them and looking forward to a little getaway after a crazy week!

It’s a beautiful sunny Friday and I’m practicing sunflower granny squares!

Happy weekend! 🌻🤎💛🧶

I can’t always get the most ”aesthetic” pictures of things I make her, but I’m trying to showcase my work more!

Currently hunting for a toddler size mannequin. 😅

My first ever completed crochet project! Now back to the other 7 WIPs in my crochet basket. 😅

02/03/2023

Starting a sweater for my Norah. 💜🤎💛

It’s completely self drafted, so we’ll see how it turns out.

01/26/2023

Had a rough morning, didn’t feel well most of the day, but I knew I was feeling better when I felt like crocheting again..

This practice shawl was so enjoyable I decided to finish it. Almost time to start the real one!

01/20/2023

I’m slowly but surely falling in love with crocheting.🧶

01/20/2023

18 New Outfits on the way for my little one! It’s been a long time coming, but Norah needs a new wardrobe since she’s outgrown all of her older clothes.

No new fabric purchased for this, just shopped my stash and used scraps!

Photos from Phoenix Faye's post 11/28/2022

My sewing room still has a ways to go, but it’s finally far enough along for me to finish this jacket I started at the beginning of the month! I’ve missed sewing so much! 🤎

08/05/2022

Making this was so satisfying! This cutie is now sitting comfortably in Norah’s room with all her other stuffies! I’ve already got plans for a Halloween themed doll! But I think that one might be for me! 🎃

07/28/2022

Trying something new. 😍🧜🏽‍♀️

Photos from Phoenix Faye's post 06/21/2022

One thing I really love about making Norah’s clothes is that I can alter them and make them last even longer. When I made these footie pjs they ended up being way too big so she hasn’t gotten as much wear out of them as I’d like. I decided to cut off the feet and add long cuffs so that we can get a few more months out of these adorable fruit themed jammies!!

‼️if you look very close in the bottom left of the first picture you’ll see that I’ve always got a little shadow when getting projects done. 😂

Photos from Phoenix Faye's post 06/07/2022

I was up early this morning and couldn’t get back to sleep when I saw this adorable pattern. I took advantage of the little bit of quiet before the day began and sewed this up with scrap fabric from upcoming projects for myself! It’s fully reversible and I’ll absolutely be making more!
