Dear Diary,
It's been quite a journey, traveling through the Milky Way galaxy as an astronaut from Ghana, Africa. As I look out of the window of my spacecraft, I see the vast expanse of space before me, with countless stars twinkling in the distance. It's a humbling experience, and I feel both awed and a little scared at the same time.
But even as I explore the wonders of the universe, my thoughts keep turning back to my family back home. I miss them terribly, and I wish I could be there with them right now. I remember the laughter and warmth of our family gatherings, the delicious smells of home-cooked meals, and the simple pleasures of everyday life in Ghana.
Sometimes, when I'm feeling particularly homesick, I'll listen to some traditional Ghanaian music on my audio system. The rhythms and melodies transport me back to my childhood, and I feel a deep connection to my roots.
But despite my longing for home, I know that this mission is important. We're gathering vital information about the universe and advancing our understanding of the cosmos. And who knows - perhaps one day, this knowledge will help us find a way to reach other planets and even other star systems.
For now, though, I'll continue to explore the wonders of space and think of my family back home. I can't wait to see them again and share all my experiences with them.
Yours truly,
An astronaut from Ghana.

“It starts with realizing we cannot progress if we keep glamouring the idea of constraining thought, dimming the natural curiosity in our classrooms, and turning around years later to demand novel, out-of-the-box ideas - more so when the ‘box’ we always defer to has little connection with the nuances which exist in our African context”
