Congratulations to Johnson County.Chair, Beth Boyce, for hosting a sold out Lincoln Day Dinner. The momentum continues to build in our 6th District.
What a blessing to be able to attend the Henry County's Lincoln Day Dinner tonight. Our State Chairwoman, Anne Hathaway, represented the Party well, and congratulations for Chsirman Hiday for his special recognition.
Dear 6th District Republicans:
Today, our Johnson County Chair, Beth Boyce, challenged a Congressional candidate who had not met the qualification to run as a Republican Candidate in Indianaโs 6th Congressional District. By unanimous vote of the Election Commission, Chairwoman Boyceโs challenge was upheld, and this candidate will not be on the May Republican Primary Ballot.
This is a great victory for our District as the rule of law was upheld. I am grateful to Chairwoman Boyce for the courage she exhibited in the face of vitriolic and personal attacks from the candidate.
My hope and prayer is that the Republican voters of our District will carefully vet the eligible candidates, and that we will elect the candidate who, not only lives here, but who also represents our strong, conservative values.
Sincerely,
Misty R. Hollis
6th District Republican Chair
Thank you to the Indiana Republican Party for a great Congress of Counties training experience this eeekend. Thank you to two of the Congressional Candidates, Jamison Carrier and Jefferson Shreve, for stopping in and introducing themselves to our 6th district attendees.
Dear 6th District Constituents:
The decision of Congressman Pence not to run for re-election has brought lots of attention to our District, even by candidates who do not have a voting record in our District. The duties of District or County Chair are never more important than they are during an election season.
It is no secret that election integrity is under attack here in Indiana and around our Nation. Now, more than ever, our District leadership is committed to protecting and preserving the integrity of our process.
I fully support our County Chairs, who have filed legal challenges against potential candidates who do not meet established qualifications, or who fail to properly complete the filing process. Supporting our County Chairs is my solemn duty, and I will without apology defend them.
Candidates who offer donations to the county party Chairs in return for an approval letter to file or who attack our integrity for following the process will not be well received in our District, as such behavior threatens the integrity of, not just our process, but our Republican Party.
Sincerely,
Misty Hollis
6th District Republican Chair
We appreciate the hard work of Nate LaMar in organizing a 6th District Straw Poll for Governor today. The weather kept people away, but still thankful to everyone who attended and volunteered today.
Tonight kicked off our 6th District Lincoln Day Dinner events. We started in Rush County and heard from 4 of the Governor candidates. Great job Chair Janet Kile.
So thankful for our 6th District Leadership. Thank you to Congressman Pence for meeting with us this morning as we plan for 2024.
As 6th District Republic Chair, I want to take a moment and celebrate our District County Chairs, candidates, and volunteers who helped with all of our Municipal campaigns.
While we can't celebrate a 100% victory in all our Mayoral races, I want to congratulate the following cities:
Columbus, Connersville, Shelbyville, Rushville, Richmond, Greenfield, and Greenwood.
Now, believe it or not, its time to focus on 2024.
State Senate 36 seat was vacated with the passing of Senator Jack Sandlin. Senator Sandlin has already been missed so much.
On Wednesday night, the caucus was held to fill the vacancy. Cyndi Carrasco was appointed by the caucus. Cyndi is currently the Vice President of University of Indianapolis. Cyndi served as a former Inspector General for the State and Chair of the Ethics Commission.
Senate 36 covers portions of Johnson and Marion Counties. Welcome Cyndi to the 6th District. We look forward to working with you.
