#tipTuesday today is brought to you on wings...bat wings. Having bats in your house can become quite the head ache. I've even had a seller have to delay their sale MONTHS because they were roosting (babies) and then pay thousands of dollars to clean and replace insulation in the attic. The best thing to do it preventative maintenance. Seal up all the entrances to your house, including the attic, chimney, and basement. And now that I'm making this video, I need to go check for entrance points in my own home!
If you have a conventional loan with less than 20% down, you may have Private Mortage Insurance. If you do, listen to my recent experience getting it removed and saying $60 bucks a month. VA loans don't have PMI and some loan types keep the mortgage insurance for the life of the loan. This is just my experience as a home owner. A little story time of my personal experience taking Private Mortgage Insurance off of a Conv. loan. In most cases, PMI gets added to loans with less than 20% down. In my case, I put 5% down and had a $60 PMI payment added onto my monthly mortgage. VA loans don't have PMI and some loan products have lifetime PMI that you can not remove.
