Mrs. Simpson’s friends enjoyed the end of the year! We ate yummy popsicles and made our own ice cream in a bag. We played outside and loved the chalk and bubbles! Our last day we celebrated the end of the year with our graduation ceremony!

It's crazy to think the school year is coming to an end! Ms. Amy did our final social-emotional lesson about kindness with our 4k friends today. Ms. Amy and Scribbles were also so kind and gave each friend their own copy of the book to help them remember to spread kindness wherever they go! Thank you Ms. Amy for helping us become emotion detectives this year!

Mrs. Simpson’s preschool friends had their last day of school! We had lots of fun! We celebrated with end of the year activities: chalk drawing, popsicle eating, and nature hunts. On our last day we enjoyed ice cream!

Mrs. Fuller's preschool class spent their time this week enjoying their final days playing with their friends, singing, dancing, and eating some special treats before officially saying goodbye today. We are so thankful for these children and hope they all have a wonderful summer!

Mrs. Simpson’s friends enjoyed the Fire station! We learned about fire safety, went inside the fire trucks, and used the hoses to spray water!

River Falls Fire Department once again gave us a wonderful fire safety talk and a great tour of the fire station! Thank you from Mrs. Timm’s RF4C classes!

Mrs. Fuller's RF4C and preschool classes braved the rain to visit the River Falls Fire Department today! They learned about fire safety, explored the fire trucks, and sprayed water at passing cars (and teachers)! We are very thankful for our firefighters and all they do for our community!

Mrs. Simpson’s preschool friends had a preschool family bring their animals to visit. We had the chance to learn a little about each animal. We could also feed the goat and pet the chicken, duck, and bunny. Hands on learning at its best!

Mrs. Fuller's classes had fun learning about community helpers this week! They showed their appreciation to some of the community helpers in River Falls by making cards, pictures, and treat/snack baskets to be delivered to the police station, fire station, ambulance garage, and post office. A highlight of the week was meeting Officer Axley from the River Falls Police Department and seeing a police car up close.

🌎 Mrs. Fuller's classes got a head start on celebrating Earth Day by making dirt cups and going on a walk around the school to pick up trash this week. 🌎

A preschooler’s ducks and chicks! What a fun hands on learning opportunity!

Mrs. Timm’s 4K friends had a fun day yesterday at UWRF AGRICULTURE DAY! We see lots of cute baby farm animals and learned about foods that we find on farms!

Mrs. Simpson’s 4K friends enjoyed learning about the solar eclipse indoors. We made “My First Solar Eclipse” crowns and ate yummy moon pies. A few children during play made their own pictures of the eclipse! Great learning here!

Mrs. Simpson’s preschool classes enjoyed chapel this week! We took our pictures with Ms. Marci who we have learned with all year about the Bible and lots of fun songs. We looked all around the chapel and church for crosses.

Last week Mrs. Timms RF4C classes had their second week of Our Favorite Authors, James Dean, by making a Pete the Cat snack!

Mrs. Simpson’s friends had fun all week long learning about our second author in our author study, Laura Numeroff. Some of the highlights were reading her books and making lots of different treats like her books include : pancakes, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, and donuts!

Green Eggs and Ham to end Dr. Seuss week in Mrs. Timm’s RF4C classes!

"It all began with that shoe on the wall. A shoe on a wall...? Shouldn't be there at all! Then I looked up. And I said 'Oh, MAN!' And that's how Wacky Wedmesday began."

In honor of Dr. Seuss' upcoming birthday, Mrs. Fuller's classes had fun dressing a little wacky today for Wacky Wednesday. They read the book Wacky Wednesday and shared some giggles about all the strange things in the story. The students enjoyed painting with some fun, non-traditional items and searching for things that were out of the ordinary in the classroom including a shoe on the ceiling. It was a fun day!
