Friday Night Lights is back! Join us August 9th from 5-8pm at the MLK Football Field for a first look at our Wolves Football and Lady Wolves Flag Football programs. Freshman squads will take on JV at 5pm followed by our annual Varsity Red vs Navy game at 6:30pm. Come get a first look at our teams as they prepare for the start of the season.

Beach update: We are so very sad to say this but beach day has been canceled due to unforeseen issues. We appreciate everyone who has signed up and was excited to attend but at this time we are canceling the event. Enjoy your week everyone.

Important Details:

TEAM REGISTRATION: A team is two players. Team registration is $100 (so $50 per player). The registration site will ask for both player names. A confirmation email will be sent with details to download the Cornholio App, which is needed to participate in the tournament. There is a limit to the number of teams that can participate. Please register early so you don't miss out!

EARLY REGISTRATION DRAWING: All who register by June 28th will be entered into a drawing to win Beats headphones, a $50 Starbucks gift card, or a Michael Kors tote bag.

Everyone is welcome to come out and join us for our First Annual Spring Friday Night Lights. Showcasing our 2024 King Wolves football team and our 2024 King Lady Wolves flag football team.

Get a preview of both squads as they prep for this upcoming fall season. Both teams will be on the field in a number of competitions.

Come out and support as there will be food, contests, raffles and fun for everyone. See y'all Friday May 17th at MLK Stadium!

Beginning Monday April 1st, you’re invited to join us for our Youth Weight Lifting and Skills Clinic. Learn how to properly lift weights, perform speed training and agility skills 💪🏽

This clinic will take place every Monday and Thursday from April 1st to April 18th. Time 5:00 - 6:30pm. Located at the Martin Luther King High School Weight Room (Enter near Pool area).

Attire: Wear workout shirts/shorts/sweats - bring athletic shoes AND cleats - bring water bottle

The hardest part of this high school game and giving your heart and soul to it is knowing that one day, whether you want it to or not, it will end. Last night it ended for our Wolves in a double overtime THRILLER that saw us on the wrong side of a 30-29 final score. Round 3 of the CIF D7 Playoffs. These Wolves were warriors and fought their hearts out. We could not be more proud of all you’ve done this year. We thank this team for an absolutely amazing 2023 season as King Football continues to show it’s a progressing force in Riverside.

A shout out to our beloved Seniors: Sam Green, Christian Hicks, Joshua Harper, Ivan Quiroz, Julian Leyva, Matheus Cunha, Andrew Varela, Kies Furrha, Daniel Gutierrez, JJ Cruz, Robert George, Max Sanchez, Jake Blinco, Luke Dunn, Bradley Zuiderfeld, Daniel Oaks, Michael Petrick, Jakob Baker, Ethan Kyles - Thank you for helping to pave the way and being part of bringing this program to where it is today. The stage is set for our Wolves and Round 3 of the CIF Playoffs! After a 45-15 statement win against Bishop Mora Salesian HS, our Wolves will now travel to face the El Dorado Hawks. Game will be played at Valencia High School - Bradford Stadium. Winner advances to the CIF Division Championship Game.

Come join our fantastic team in support of our Wolves as we come into the last games of our regular season. We are looking for volunteers to assist with our Freshman and JV home games at the snack bar and gates as they wrap up their phenomenal seasons.

Next month we will be gathering nominations for open officer positions next season: Vice President, Secretary, and VP Volunteers. In addition, there are several committees that need volunteers. These committees work hard to ensure that we have a quality football program here at King and that our athletes have the support they need to be successful. We especially need the help of freshman and sophomore parents who still have 2-3 years with the program.

Booster Club Officer Positions for 2024 Season
Vice President - Assist president with activities and events throughout the season. Coordinate the board officer nominations and voting.
Secretary - Responsible for team communication, and board meeting minutes. Coordinates with social media committee for posts.
VP Volunteers - Coordinate the volunteer schedule for the season though sign up genius. Train volunteers for their shifts.

Booster Club Committees for 2024 Season
Fundraising (2-3 people): Helps with Annual Golf Tournament and other team fundraisers.

Sponsorships (3-4 people): Assists with securing corporate sponsorships and recognition.

Culinary (2-6 poeople): Assists with preparing and serving team meals, including Frosh/JV away game meals. Helps with securing restaurants for team meal donations.

Media (1 person): Assist our current social media volunteer in creating content for social media.

Volunteers: (unlimited) Be willing to jump in and help where needed - especially parking lot, ticket sales, and snack bar. Help VP of Volunteers with recruiting other volunteers.

Snack Bar Coordinator: Keep inventory of snack bar donations. Create purchase lists for Culinary VP to keep snack bar stocked. Assist in snack bar shifts, particularly opening and/or closing as needed. Be willing to get a food handlers permit.

Audit Committee: (1 more needed): Review club financials and club's current standing as it relates to the annual audit that is submitted to school district.

Flag Football Committee: Flag Football parents that can assist with team meal/snack schedule, snack bar, fundraising, season events, game themes, banquet and volunteers. Attend board meetings to represent Flag Football interests.

Senior Night: Plan and carry out Senior night (program, senior gifts). Senior parents traditionally do not join this committee so they can enjoy the evening with their player.

Banquet: Plan and carry out banquets for teams at the end of the season, including promotion, venue, meal, recogition, decor, senior gifts.
