How are Tesselle Cement Tiles Made? A frequently asked question about Tesselle Cement Tiles is are they printed? The answer is no. Instead our factory artisans hand pour colored cement and aggregate into a mold similar to a cookie cutter. Then they add the structural cement and the tile is hydraulically pressed. This process creates a one quarter inch thick layer of color within the tile that has an overall thickness of 5/8" making it incredibly durable just like a wood floor.
