Men's Hockey defeats Sacred Heart, 3-1; advances to Atlantic Hockey Semifinals - Rochester Institute of Technology Athletics ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT freshman forward Carter Wilkie and senior defenseman Dan Willett broke a 1-1, third-period tie with back-to-back goals in a 38-second span to lead the Tigers past Sacred Heart, 3-1, in game-three of the Atlantic Hockey Tournament Quarterfinals, Sunday.

Athletic facility improvements in home stretch RIT's outdoor athletic fields, including the outdoor track and baseball and softball fields, are getting a facelift. Next up: the installation of a state-of-the-art artificial turf field as well as the construction of a full stadium complex.

RIT celebrates SHED construction with beam signing event Jan. 12 The new makerspace under construction at the center of campus is a piece of RIT history in the making, and the RIT community is invited to sign a steel beam that will be installed in the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (the SHED).

RIT expects to welcome a record-breaking freshman class this fall For the second consecutive year, RIT officials anticipate that the university will welcome a record number of first-year undergraduate students. More than 3,350 first-year students have submitted deposits for fall enrollment as of June 1, up from more than 3,130 this time last year.
