Hello Rochester! You may have noticed the absence of the beloved Park Ave Summer Arts Festival in recent years, and we appreciate your inquiries about its return. The festival's hiatus was due to several factors. Firstly, the event required an experienced and well-funded promoter to manage its size and costs. After the retirement of our longtime festival promoter in 2020, finding a suitable replacement proved challenging for the Park Ave Merchants Association and neighborhood association.

Additionally, there were growing concerns within the community. Some felt the festival had shifted away from its roots, focusing more on a large party atmosphere rather than showcasing local and regional art and supporting Park Ave's small businesses. These challenges led to a pause in the festival's organization.

However, this year, a small group of dedicated Park Ave business owners has come together to launch the Park Ave Summer Stroll event. This new initiative aims to capture the essence of the original festival by focusing on local art excellence and promoting our vibrant small business community. By scaling down the event and returning to its foundational principles, we hope to create a manageable and meaningful celebration that aligns with the neighborhood's values.

We're excited about this new direction and look forward to welcoming you all to this year's Park Ave Summer Stroll—a celebration that honors our local artists and supports the diverse businesses that make Park Ave special. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!

Experience the Magic of the Season at the Park Avenue Holiday Open House

The Park Avenue Merchants Association will be holding the Park Avenue Holiday Open House on Thursday, November 30th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The beloved annual event promises an evening of festive delight, perfect for the entire family.

This year’s highlight’s include:

Tree and Menorah Lighting: Witness the magic of the season as we illuminate Park Avenue with the annual Tree and Menorah lighting ceremony.

Meet and Greet with Santa: Santa Claus will be making a special appearance at the event in our Santa Tent located in the TES Staffing parking lot (600 Park Ave). Bring your children to have their photos taken with the man in red!

Early Holiday Shopping: Start your holiday shopping early and discover the perfect gifts for your loved ones while exploring the charming shops along Park Avenue. The local merchants will be offering unique, handcrafted, and one-of-a-kind items that are sure to make your holiday shopping a breeze. Visit 10 shops and be entered in a raffle for the chance to win gift cards to some of your favorite shops on the Avenue!

Stocking Stuffer Extravaganza: Children, don't forget to bring your stockings! Participating Park Ave merchants will be ready to help you fill them with delightful surprises as you explore their stores. It's the perfect way to make your holiday season even more magical.

The Park Avenue Holiday Open house has become a beloved tradition in our community, bringing neighbors, friends and family together to celebrate the holiday season. The event offers something for everyone, from festive decorations to delicious treats and specials offered by the diverse restaurants and eateries on the avenue.
