Public Swim at the Hanson Pines pools will open at 12pm today, 8/1. Open to Rochester residents only, proof of residency required.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, 50+ Tech Support on Thursday, 8/1 is canceled. The nest session of 50+ Tech Support will be held Thursday, 8/15 9:30am-11:30am in the Rochester Senior Activity Center. This program is free, and no membership is required.
Today's Concert on the Common is postponed to tomorrow, 8/1, due to the weather. Concert will still take place 6:30pm-8pm at the Common. It is free, and we recommend you bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

When: Friday September 20 5:30-6:20pm, Saturday September 21 9:30-10:20am & Sunday September 22 9:30-10:20am

Who: Boys & Girls ages 4-8 new to hockey and wanting to try it
Details: A $230 deposit will serve as payment for a full equipment package. If you child decides not to join RYH, simply return the equipment at the end of the weekend and RYH will return your deposit. If your child decides they loved it and want to play the equipment is yours to keep.
Capital Sporting Goods will be at the Rochester Ice Arena on August 13 from 4:30-8:00pm to fit players for the equipment package.

The Guard of the Week this week is Addison French! Addison has stepped up her hours and commitment this summer. She works at various pools with all different staff and is great at adapting to work in different environments. She did a great job on the camp fieldtrip. She has also been great with lessons and goes above and beyond to support her team.
Addison’s fun fact is that she has played hockey for 13 years!

Shout out to last week's guard of the week, Kaiden Allen!
Kaiden has really stepped up and stepped into new roles this summer. You can find him at the East Rochester Pool, where he runs swim lessons and ensures everyone is safe and having fun during public swim. Kaiden is a great communicator and knows what to do to get the job done right!

Come on down to the Rochester Common on Wednesday, July 31st to see Tin Palace play covers and originals of Blues, Rock, and Country music. The concert is free and starts at 6:30pm. Bring something to sit on!

The Rochester Mental Health Alliance (RMHA) fosters community wide connections, shares resources, reduces stigma, and promotes recovery across the lifespan through education, advocacy, outreach, and support.
The RMHA is planning a Summit at Frisbee Hospital Conference Center on Wednesday, Oct 16th 8:30-10am. The focus is on Mental Wellness and Su***de Prevention in the Community.

Attention: We are extending Public Swim Hours at the Gonic and East Rochester Pools!
Public Swim at East Rochester will go from 11:30am-6pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The rest of the week will remain the same.
Public Swim at Gonic will go from 2pm-6pm Monday through Friday. In response to this change, 50+ Free Swim will now run from 12:45pm-1:45pm. Aqua Zumba will be held from 12:45pm-1:30pm on Thursdays. The weekend schedule will remain the same.
