Let’s talk a little about hair health! Here are some steps to take so you can maintain your beautiful strands:

• Check your water’s hardness: Sometimes if there is too many minerals built up in your water, it can damage your hair. An easy fix to this is getting a shower head filter!

• Use a leave-in conditioner! They can help keep your hair hydrated to prevent breakage, and some even have heat protectant in them!

• Avoid chlorine this summer: Chlorine can cause damage to chemically treated hair. If you go swimming, wet your hair with fresh water and saturate with a hair mask before getting in the pool!

• Be gentle when brushing: Use a wide-tooth comb or a brush specifically designed for detangling wet hair. (My fav is the Wet Brush). Be gentle when brushing and start from the ends of your hair to avoid breakage.

• Use a hair mask: A hair mask can help restore moisture to your hair and keep it looking healthy. Some have proteins in them which helps chemically treated hair tremendously!
