Stephanie Bauer Tattoos

I have gotten a few new followers so I figured I would do a “meet the artist” post!

Hello, my name is Stephanie Bauer and I am a 27 year old tattoo artist located at Gold Rose Tattoo Gallery in Rockford Illinois, I am happily married to another tattoo artist Joshua Bauer and a step mom to three handsome young men.

My passion for arts started when I was pretty young. As I did fine arts in middle school, but during highschool I lost my self and I went down a dark path. I lost all the joy life had and I was honestly struggling self image and sense of belonging. When I was freshly 18 I moved out of Illinois to South Dakota where I rediscovered myself. I remember when I got my first tattoo, my life changed drastically. I fell back in love with my skin, and self. I always wanted to have a profession where I was able to connect with people like that.
I got into floral design work, and I fell head over heels for it. Proms, funerals, weddings, all flowers change people’s whole day and it was so magical to be able to experience that. I was a florist for a total of 7 years, 3 years being here in Illinois when I moved back in 2018.

In 2018, I moved back to Rockford and I met the love of my life. As well as falling in love with Josh, I was shown a deeper side to the tattoo industry. His love, motivation, and encouragement for everyone in this industry opened my eyes to what my world could be. I never felt like I belonged anywhere, but now I feel like I belong here in the tattoo industry.
This industry, this job, this shop, the clients changed my life. I love being able to connect to everyone I meet and make life changing art. I personally know how much a single tattoo can change your whole sense of self. 💖

Now I am at this point in my career when I’ve been off my apprenticeship for almost 2 1/2 years. While I’m still trying to “find my style” of tattooing, my favorite thing to tattoo is anything floral! Believe it or not. Who would have thought a florist turned tattoo artist would like to tattoo floral tattoos. 😂💖
Now I don’t just do floral tattoos, I do all kinds of tattoos just currently to realism. 💖
