I'm so grateful and happy for the wonderful weekend that Rockford just turned out for!!

So. Many. Red. Tags! 😍I cannot believe how many of you showed up to support our city's talent despite the chill tonight. We couldn't do it without your smiling faces! Thank you!

It was an absolute bast listening to your experiences and sharing stories that related to or were evoked by my work! I was beyond delighted to have opportunities to speak about my work in German (!!!), reminisce over the little creek I painted of the town my family is from, to share and compare the inspiration photos to the finished painting and even find the exact spot on google maps, imagine the functionality of my whimisical spaces with an urban planner, and (after accidently breaking a heart 😅😉) find a missed connection from an art show long ago that has haunted me since! Sometimes things just need a moment to come together perfectly and each and every one of you were a huge part in making that all happen!

I cannot thank you enough, you are wonderful!

Afternoon thoughts...

I told myself I was going to be low key this artscene (read nice to myself/low stress)... then promptly started a monster of a piece because you and I both know I just can't 🤣🤣
