Hi everyone!
I realize that I continue to get new followers, so here’s a very overdue introduction.
My name is Kenia, and I’m 28 years old. I was raised in the U.S but I was actually born in Mexico. I love my culture and sharing it with others (& yes I will tell you what my favorite Mexican restaurants are if you are curious lol). I have a partner named Torri and we just celebrated our one year anniversary on Halloween 🎃, but we have known eachother since we’re 12! We have 3 dogs named Shaedee, Marceline, Henry, and a bearded dragon named Spyra but she’s basically Torris because we don’t get along 😅 My favorite hobby is probably listening to music. in fact, my favorite band is called Movements. If I’m not home, you’ll probably catch me running errands (meaning looking for bargains at tj maxx, Ross etc 😂) I’ve been a licensed hairstylist for almost 3 years now, but in my mind it feels like it has been WAY longer. I’ve always had a passion for beauty. My mom and cousins would let me experiment on their hair, and nails when I was younger and when I tell you how embarrassing it is to look back at the work I did on them.. 😂 but they have always supported me, and that is all that matters. My mom pushed me to go to Cosmetology school in 2019 after having some health issues that didn’t really allow me to work in the food service industry anymore, and for that I’m grateful because it allowed me to get to where I am now. I love what I do, my job doesn’t feel like a job to me. It’s really a passion. I love getting to know my clients and treating them as my friends. ✨
I am and will always be a safe space for everyone who sits in my chair. I know how nerve wrecking it can be to walk into a new salon because you never know what to expect but at Golden Hour, you’ll find that our entire staff is extremely welcoming; that’s why I chose it as my salon home. 💖
