We wrapped up the Folkstyle season in Round Rock at State with 7 medals, 41 WINS, 152 team points, and we ranked 36 out of 114 teams!

This post is for the parents that are heading to TXUSAW Youth Folkstyle State this weekend. This photo should be the goal. These young men are getting ready to compete in the Finals match at UIL State. Look at those smiles...they truly enjoy the sport and the people around them.

Like you, their families have spent countless hours and money supporting them in this sport throughout the years, a couple have competing in over 150 tournaments. One of them didn't place in D1 Rookie State, one didn't place at D2 Open State, and one didn't place at D4 Open State. They all have had a lot of losses which could have discouraged them from continuing to compete, but they chose to work, improve and persevere. Their families understand the process and that this sport is not for the anyone looking for a participation award.

So, enjoy the marathon and do not get too tied up in what happens at TXUSAW Youth State. Celebrate the highs and learn from the lows. Make sure you and your kiddo love the sport for everything it gives and make sure they know that you will always be in their corner for a win or a loss!

Now let's go enjoy the weekend and see some great competition and sportsmanship!

Attended the Houston Nationals yesterday with a handful of Jackets. Had a blast and brought home some hardware!

Saturday we joined 600+ wrestlers at the Allen Tournament of Champions. RYW brought home 10 medals and placed 14th for scored points out of 49 clubs! Way to go boys! Up next…Stockyard stampede! 🤼🥇🥈🥉

Rockwall Youth Wrestling team traveled out to Azle this weekend for The Hive tournament. The team brought home 5 medals: (4) 2nd places and a 3rd place. Hardwork is paying off, great job wrestlers!! Let’s bring home some more at Allen Tournament of Champions this Saturday!

First tournament of the season is in the books. At The Grappling Gobbler in Grapevine, Rockwall Youth Wrestling team brought home 7 medals: 1st place, 2nd place, (3)3rd places, and (2)4th places! Also finished 5th in overall points out of 33 teams! Great job wrestlers..let’s get ready for the next one.

Our season has kicked off and our registration has closed for the 2022-2023 season.
