As we mark National Correctional Officers Appreciation Week (May 5-11) and National Nurses Week (May 6-12), we extend heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated men and women serving tirelessly.

Established by former President Ronald Reagan in 1984, this week recognizes the crucial role of correctional officers. They ensure safety and order in our correctional facilities, unwaveringly dedicated to public safety.

Nurses, the backbone of our healthcare system, provide compassionate care and healing tirelessly. Let’s celebrate their selflessness and expertise.

April 14 - 20, 2024 is National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. The Rockwall County Sheriff's Office appreciates the support shown by the students at Rochell Elementary School. All of our Telecommunicators loved the messages and artwork.

This year, we would like to invite our community to join us in showing appreciation to our Telecommunicators/Dispatchers for their commitment, service and sacrifice. These are the men and women who answer your calls for help day and night. They are the first responders that are rarely seen. Appreciation can come in the form of a kind word, note, card, snacks, drinks, etc. and may be dropped off any time during the week.
