Thankful for another great Refuge last week! We worshipped with believers from another country and culture and learned how to share the gospel through God’s Word using Luke 15 as an example! The annual BCM Thanksmas celebration will be THIS Monday!!! Please take note of the different time as well, we will be starting our meeting a little earlier this week.
Also, please be prepared for the beard auction! We will have 4-5 guys donate their beards to be auctioned off, and all of the money raised goes to missions! You can bid on a beard individually or as a group, and the highest bidder (or bidders) gets to shave the person’s beard however they like. This is a fun way to raise $ for missions, so please come prepared to participate if you would like to!
Please be there and invite your friends as we celebrate what Christ has done for us this holiday season!
Happy Monday!! Come join us at BCM for a prayer & worship night tonight! We would love to see you!
Thank you Mr. Ken Whitlow for providing our dinner last week and Dr. Butler for our wonderful message!
While learning about the withered fig tree in Mark 11, Dr. Butler left us with some questions: Are you just checking off the “religious checklist?” Are you producing any fruit? Are you pointing people towards Christ or away? Would would Jesus break apart in your life? If you want to be different than fruitless tree or an empty religion, the Bible teaches us to align your heart with God, have faith in Him, and pray. You can't, but HE can.
Community Missions Spotlight for November and December: Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries!
We had a great week at Refuge last week! One of our own students, Keaton Brown, spoke and shared the gospel. We are thankful for his willingness to share, the time of fellowship, and look forward to tonight’s Refuge meeting! Please be there and invite a friend or two!! Anyone & everyone is welcome.
This week!! Drop by the BCM office to make some Thanksgiving cards for residents at a local nursing home. This is a small, simple way to share love and show care to somebody who may need it this time of year.
Congratulations to Sam Warner for winning the fall 2023 Spoon Games!🥄
And a HUGE thank you to everyone who participated this week!!
What a fun week we had at Refuge last week! Enjoy these pictures of everyone’s Bible character costumes, and thank you to everyone who participated! Another huge thank you also to Northside Church for providing the meal last week.
We enjoyed a message from D-Rol on the prodigal son in Luke 15. D-Rol shared that the son had to repent of his son and come back to his father, and the father welcomed him back with open arms. When we turn from our sin and run to God, He likewise runs toward us and meets us with grace. Since God has forgiven us of our sin, we need to also forgive others!
Please plan to join us for Refuge tonight! This is a spoon games safe zone ⚠️ and we can’t wait to worship with everyone at the start of this week! As always, food at 7:30 and worship at 8. God bless!
This Wednesday! Stop by with any prayer needs you have or just enjoy some coffee and donuts.
Last Friday we were able to take a trip to Copper Creek Farms! Everyone really enjoyed this time of fun. Please don’t hesitate to join in on what BCM is doing and enjoy good fellowship at Shorter.

Thank you to the Winshape College Program for providing our meal last week, and thank you to Brandon Bishop - Pastor of New Town Baptist Church in Calhoun - for bringing the word! If you have any questions about Winshape or you are interested in serving with them this summer, our camps representatives shared last week, and you can contact them by messaging
Last week, Brandon shared a memorable message from Matthew 6:25-33. He talked about how we all deal with worry and anxiety, but we have proof that God will take care of us. The proof, as this text shows, is in how God takes care of the birds. There are billions of birds on our continent, but God provides for all of them to eat. However, God has given us something He never gave the birds - His Son Jesus. Therefore, it is our job to seek God’s Kingdom first, knowing He will provide for us. Since we know God will take care of us, we don’t have to worry.
Please join us tonight in Austin-Moses for Refuge! As usual, food will be at 7:30 with worship at 8. Warren Skinner, the Send Me Now representative, will be speaking for mission emphasis week, so you don’t want to miss this Refuge!
This week is mission emphasis week! Be on the lookout for some special posts on our Instagram throughout the week and be sure to be a part of each of these events going on this week.
We are changing the date of our trip to Copper Creek to allow more students to come! Go ahead and make plans for a time of fun and fellowship next Friday, October 27. There is mechanical bull riding, a corn maze, and a haunted house at Copper Creek! We will also grill out before, and the cost is $20. Let everyone know about this awesome event, and we hope you will be able to attend!
