I was able to cap off a busy day in Frankfort watching the girls district volleyball championship between the Russell Co. Lakers and the Clinton Co. Bulldogs! Congratulations to the ladies from both teams and we are so proud of their hard work and commitment!

Earlier today, the Interim Joint Committee on Transportation met as we heard testimony and received updates from various stakeholders regarding transportation related issues.

It’s always good to be with friends as we celebrate the official groundbreaking of the Duvall Valley Water Improvement project in Clinton County! In addition to this, we were able to present local funding awards to Clinton County Tourism, and nonprofit assistance funding to the Foothills Academy and The Salvation Army! I was proud to support all of these measures in the General Assembly and look forward to additional opportunities to grow our communities as we plan for the next budget.

I was happy to attend today’s Cumberlands Workforce Development Board meeting! I am very appreciative of this regional board’s dedication and commitment to building and improving Kentucky’s workforce!

I also want to congratulate Aaron Poynter on his new appointment! Aaron has been appointed as the State Wide Director of Putting Kentuckians First & Reentry. He will be working with the Kentucky Office of Adult Education and the Education and Labor Cabinet! I look forward to working with him in Frankfort!

It was a beautiful evening at the Pulaski County Republican Party Lincoln Day Picnic! I enjoyed spending time with many constituents and friends as we had the opportunity to hear from the candidates for governor and statewide offices. Thank you to for being a wonderful host!

Happy Sine Die! Today marks day 30 of 30 of the 2023 legislative session which is known as sine die (without a day). I want to thank each and every one of my constituents in the 83rd House District for the opportunity to represent you in Frankfort. While there are times where we may be on opposing sides of an issue, just know that I am legislating for what’s best for my district and our Commonwealth as a whole. Serving as your Representative has been, and continues to be, one of the greatest honors of my life and I can’t thank you enough for the support!

Great turnout at last night’s Somerset Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce! Congratulations to Bobby Clue and the Chamber team for a wonderful event!

I was also honored to be with the Pulaski Co. Farm Bureau this morning to provide a legislative update and to discuss Farm Bureau’s priorities for this session. Such a great organization and I’m always glad to work with them on legislation to protect our farm families and citizens across the Commonwealth!
