We are happy to announce a great new partnership with coach Ross Allen with Winning the Trenches. Coach Allen is an awesome up and coming offensive linemen Guru. We have had the pleasure of working with Coach Allen in our first ever production in the state of Idaho.
We had offensive linemen show up for all over the Treasure Valley. We even had players come from as far as Oregon and we thank them for their involvement. We are fortunate enough to have relationships with some Boise State Bronco athletes and they were on site as our guest coaches.
The value in Coach Allen's detailed fundamental based offensive line approach is innovative and very technical. He has utilized his talents to break down offensive linemen film for the Denver Broncos. Yes, we said the Denver Broncos and it helps he is a huge Denver Bronco fan himself. He is a very humble young man but we wanted to expose this great new coach to the masses.
He will be involved and responsible for our upcoming 7on7 competitions and linemen challenges in both California qnd Idaho moving forward so stay tuned for our next series of camps and events coming up in 2024.
Until then please enjoy some of Coach Allen's great work:

Very exciting to see two NCPL Alumni doing big things with Stanford and Arizona State. Cameron Skattabo almost beat USC by himself last weekend. Keep making the 916 proud Boys!

10 signs you're probably a football Mom
We're a special bunch. I mean, let's face it. It definitely takes a special type of mama to let her child play tackle football.
Here are 10 telltale signs that you're probably a football mom...
1. You take your summer vacations BEFORE the start of the season. Beach trip in August? Where they do that at!? August is for tackling, not building sandcastles!
2. Your team colors are the new black! You are constantly browsing store aisle after store aisle for anything and EVERYTHING in them; nail polish, hats, bracelets, sweatshirts. You name it, you've got it. In fact, you have an entire dresser drawer that's dedicated entirely to football season!
3. You don't eat dinner before 8 p.m. You're at the football field for two hours every evening. Even if you could eat dinner before practice, why would you? Your player is going to be STARVING afterward. Why make extra work for yourself?
4. You make your grocery list with your child's teammates in mind. As a matter of fact, you ditched the grocery store altogether! You buy all of your fruit and snacks in bulk. How else will you be able to feed the entire small army team?
5. You can slice 10 large, navel oranges in no time. Heck, you can probably slice them with your eyes closed. Just kidding about the eyes-closed part. Please don't attempt that!
6. Your car smells like a portable locker room. Shoulder pads + helmets + gloves + super sweaty kids ... need I say more?
7. You have no free Saturdays from August until November. And you're all good with that. There's not a place you'd rather be than on the bleachers cheering for your kid and their team!
8. Your kitchen cupboard is filled with more water bottles than cups. And you're not ashamed to drink out of them yourself. It's 5 p.m. somewhere, right?
9. You have no voice on Sundays. You were cheering and yelling, "HIT HIM!" at the very top of your lungs the previous day. No shame in your game. If you're not their No. 1 fan, who else will be?
10. You're 30-something and can still fit into a size youth large. Not really. Not at all actually. But you do your BEST to squeeze into their extra practice jersey on game days. Work it, girl!
Good luck this season, Mamas!
5 games came down to the wire this week. Seeing so much improvement in each team. These young men are really fine tuning their games and it is very rewarding to watch their growth this Spring.

Some new names got into the mix this past weekend with some great individual performances. Congrats!
Week 6 schedule in Rio Linda this Sunday.
Some very exciting games this past weekend in Rio Linda. The highlight was the triple overtime thriller with the Elk Grove Hail Catz (Purple) pulling off a thriller vs. Yolo County 7's and closing out the game with a diving interception by a Hail Cat. Just a few weeks away from Championship tournament and these teams are showing that anything can happen. Stay tuned!
We keep seeing some of the same names doing their thing consistently each week, We are excited to see who ends up winning the Player of the Year in each age group. Just a few more weeks and we will see who wins the title of POY for the 2023. Congratulations to all the POW for week 4.
We have some good matchups for our Week 5 games in Rio Linda this upcoming Sunday. We look forward to seeing how this week plays out and if there will be more surprises and movement at the top of the standings.
