We went to Austin to visit with my sister and to see the eclipse. The weather forecast was very bad, so we decided to take an earlier flight out to avoid delays. We were fortunate to have just enough time to watch the eclipse from the airport before checking in for our flight. Totality was brief there, less than a minute, and covered by clouds. Still was amazing. We got to see the sun and moon emerge just as totality was ending. We didn't get to see the corona really, but we did get a tiny bit of solar flare in a few photos. I'm not mad at my eclipse experience.

I haven't done this in a while, but I've had a couple of requests for spring mini sessions. Send me a message to reserve a spot!
East Bay friends! I will be doing a spring mini session at Crow Canyon Gardens on April 29th. DM if interested! Space is limited.
Hi friends! I have a last minute opening for a mini session in Walnut Creek tomorrow at 10:30 am. DM if interested!
Only 3 East Bay spots, 2 Sacramento, and 2 Elk Grove left. Let me know if you want a spot ASAP.
Also considering a second East Bay date on November 20. Let me know if you might be interested.
I know it's way too hot to be thinking about holiday photos, but a lot of you have been asking about fall mini sessions so here we go! I look forward to seeing some of you very soon!
Let's try this again with the correct dates for fall mini sessions.
Yay for the first day of fall!
It's been a very long time since I've shared any shoots here. But today seemed like a good day to get started again.

Summer Vibes It's been a really long time since I've shared any shoots. Part of that was mood, part was time, and part was honestly just worry over how people would perceive COVID-era photo shoots. But, things are getting better, and today seemed like a good day to start again. It's a special pleasure to photogr...
Hello friends - I've been quiet around here, but I have been taking limited appointments for photo sessions. I'm thinking of offering three November mini session dates: Elk Grove on 11/1, East Bay Area on 11/8, and Sacramento on 11/15. If you are interested, send me a message and I'll solidify times/location soon.
And here's a photo of one of our socially-distant summer adventures.
Sending love to all of my friends out there. Since outdoor exercise is still ok, I wanted to share a few local hikes for my Elk Grove/Sacramento people. Exercise + sunshine is vital to keeping us going in these uncertain times, and under current restrictions, is considered an essential activity. Keep in mind that bathrooms at all public facilities are closed, so this isn't really a great time for a road trip. Plus the National Park System is really begging us not to go to those places - people are crowding those areas due to waived fees. These hikes/walks are all within an hour or so of Elk Grove, and we had no problem maintaining safe distance form people, if we even came across any other people along the way.
Also side note - please be kind to yourselves, parents who are now acting as teachers. You've probably already realized that with the 1:1 attention your kids are getting, they only need 2 hours to do what requires 6 hours in the classroom.
Ok, so some nice places that are NOT CROWDED:
Laguna Creek Trail (my favorite places to start are behind Cal Fit & and at Camden Park, or start at Del Meyer Park and end at Jack Hill Park
Elk Grove Creek Trail (Start behind Letherby's, or Taco Bell on EG Blvd., or near Walmart and walk over the freeway
Consumes River Preserve (20 mins form EG)
Stone Lakes Preserve: (10-15 mins from EG)
Browns Valley: pictured - beware trails can be muddy! (Vacaville)
Rockeville Hills Regional Park (Fairfield)
Black Diamond Mines (Antioch)
Putah Creek Reserve (Davis)
Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary (Yuba City)
River Bend Park
William B Pond Clay Banks
Vic Fazio Yolo Preserve
Black Hole of Calcutta Falls (Auburn)
Jensen Botanical Garden
Lodi Nature Trail
Paradise Beach
Beeks Bight (Folsom)
Mather Vernal Pools
Lynch Canyon Open Space (Fairfield)
Vernal Pools at Rancho Seco Park
If you know of any other good spots I'd love to hear about them!
Finally starting to feel like fall...
Fall is Really Happening! After a long summer, I was beginning to think it might never happen, but it looks like fall is finally on its way. And just in time for the family photo sessions to begin in earnest.
A Joyous Baptism I had the great pleasure of photographing a baptism at the most beautiful monastery about 40 miles outside of Fresno. So much love and joy to welcome this precious boy into the Greek Orthodox church.
How sweet are these two??
Second Chance These two have raised their own children, experience unimaginable loss, and have come together to embrace a second chance at love. Such a beautiful ceremony, overflowing with joy! It was such an honor to witness and capture this event.
Update: Only one Elk Grove session left at 4:45, and one Sacramento at 9:15.
And Sacramento area friends, more info coming soon for mini sessions on 10/20. Message me if you want to reserve a spot!
To my friends in the East Bay: I've got a November 10th date for mini sessions. More info to follow. Message me if you'd like to reserve a spot!
Three cutest couple in the most beautiful location. ❤️
True Love in Tahoe Tahoe is always a good idea. Especially when you're following around a beautiful couple and taking pictures to celebrate their engagement. We had a fabulous time walking around Sand Harbor, enjoying the beautiful weather and snapping a few photos along the way.
Bats on the blog! 🦇🦇
I'm Feeling a Little Batty Did you know that the Yolo Wildlife Preserve is home to one of the largest colonies of Mexican free-tailed bats? The first time I saw these guys, I was on the way back form the bay area and stuck in traffic on the causeway. The sun was setting, and suddenly, a ribbon of these bats comes out from und...
Loved the beauty of White Sands National Monument ❤️
White Sands National Monument We had a great time visiting dear friends in the beautiful state of New Mexico. For this California girl, the highlight was visiting White Sands National Monument near Alamogordo. I've never actually seen a vast desert, and I'd been hoping to go for some time, so when the opportunity arose, I jumped...
Beautiful inside & out
The Beauty of a Woman I took a little inspiration from Audrey Hepburn for the blog title here. She said something along the lines of: the true beauty of a woman...is reflected in her soul. This beauty was in need of some fresh head shots for her portfolio, so we headed to the Downtown Commons area to capture a modern loo...
A review of five wonderful days spent in Maui
https://www.stacyantonopoulos.com/blog/2019/6/five-days-in-maui
Five Days in Maui I've never been anywhere tropical before, so when my husband and kids indicated an interest in visiting Hawaii, I was all in. After consulting many friends who had been there before, we settled on Maui, mainly for the laid-back attitude and beautiful beaches. We were certainly not disappointed. Thou...
A most beautiful barn wedding on the blog...

A Barn Wedding I thoroughly enjoyed this intimate wedding held in a rustic family barn. So many sweet details, and so much love.
I can never make it through the father-daughter dance without getting a little weepy. Happy Father's Day. ❤️❤️❤️

A beautiful wedding is on the blog!
A Sublime Wedding Celebration Every wedding I've photographed comes with two guarantees: I will cry during the father daughter dance, and my cheeks will hurt from smiling at the dancing. This wedding delivered both promises, but it was also one of the most relaxed and comfortable weddings I have ever enjoyed. This day, the coupl...
I recently photographed this beautiful and fun family of seven, and I had such a great time!
Spring Break means more day trips. We visited Hetch Hetchy for the first time this week, and it was amazing!
Hetch Hetchy: A Hidden Gem in Yosemite I think it would take a lifetime to explore all that Yosemite has to offer, but each time we go, we tend to revisit a lot of the same places. A lot of that is due to the fact that I have young kids with a max capacity for hiking. Some of it is comfort. Most of it though is just that it's so astonish...
The cutest little people are on the blog!
Home is Where the Heart Is This beautiful family recently welcomed a third baby and moved at the same time, so it took them a little while to get around to "newborn" pictures. Theirs is a beautiful chaos; a home filled with movement, love, and so much laughter. These siblings are adorable and so full of personality, as is pla...
