A quick littler porch perk-up this morning with my summer intern🙂🌸

All his past Lego building experience has made him a valuable on-the-job furniture assembler!

Back up and running!
Our outdoor shower is one of our favorite and most used spots in our backyard.

It is connected to a garden hose and heated by the sun, which makes setting up a breeze. We also ensured proper drainage. The rest were DIY details that made the space inviting.
Lots of plants, screens for privacy, and painted/stenciled pavers that give the tile look.

Every year we make little updates to enhance this space. This year, we added an accent wall and wall planters.

I came out to this beauty today when I went out to water my plants. This was one of the amaryllis bulbs Trader Joe’s sells around the holidays.
I put it in a pot and two years later it’s back in all its glory🙌🏻🌸
Consider this your pro tip. Don’t throw out your amaryllis bulbs or give up on them apparently:)

My Mom sewed our costumes pretty much every year and managed to get us all packed in the station wagon for trick or treating- snow, rain or shine! And she did this for 20+ years to get all 10 kids through.

As crazy as the world seems everywhere you turn these days, sometimes you turn and see a huge butterfly in the night sky. 🦋🌙💫 Saw this tonight when I turned down the street toward my house while on a walk.
My mom told me she would send me pink butterflies before she passed. This one wasn’t pink, but I got the message.
Be on the lookout for daily magic. It’s out there, but you will only witness it if you are paying attention✨

The end result was even better than she hoped!
