If you are new to hatching, we have a new service just for you! Our Hatching Coach service is available to anyone in the US or Canada who is hatching for the first time. You supply your own eggs and incubator - and we'll be there every step of the way to help you get the most out of your incubator, spot potential problems, and make hatching day less stressful and more joyful!

- hold chicks in the petting tent
- compare eggs (quail, chicken, duck, goose, and emu)
- make a chicken craft
You can:
- get chicks to take home (with guaranteed rooster return)
- pick up one of our hatching rental kits for an amazing summer learning experience. Keep the chicks you hatch OR send them back to the farm! Guaranteed rooster return.

Why quail instead of chickens? Coturnix quail lay about 300 eggs a year, can lay year-round with supplemental light, and get this - they start laying eggs 6-8 weeks after they hatch. It's not instant gratification, but it's pretty darn close! 😂

We LOVE working with classroom teachers!
If you want to hatch, but have never done it before, we make it EASY. Plus our hatching kits come with a complete elementary-level curriculum. And you don't have to worry about finding homes for the chicks. We'll take them back - or you can give them away.

Isn't this beautiful?! One of our brilliant customers, Hilary Sisson, took these sweet photos of kid learning how to hold the chicks they hatched in their classroom. They practiced on a stuffed animal chick and then graduated to the real deal. Great idea!
