Paint With All Your Heart

My mother has talked of a mural of an olive tree for years. And her desire increased after her trip to Israel. We are finally getting started. It's slow. The process is new to me. I LOVE painting trees. Each is unique and convey different "personalities" finding the right balance requires stepping back to reflect. This was the end of day 1 of painting. I took a picture then used my photo editing to mark areas that still bug me so I don't forget to address them during our next session. The hard part is my mom is so busy now that she's retired, it's hard for our schedules to align. But I'm blessed to still have my momma and she's just a short car ride away.

This logo was bothering me in its original version. My hubby suggested I trim it in white and he was right! (But don't tell him that)

Any other Niner fans out there?

Side 1 is almost complete. After taking these pictures I realized the second logo didn't stand out enough so I trimmed it in white and it really pops now! I'll share the updated version soon. This 6 ft. Niner porch leaner with be double sided so more to come!

Ahhh, now you see it all coming together, doncha?! This is not ours but I may have to make my hubby a Dodgers, Raiders, and Sac Republic leaner soon!

When freehanding lines, don't expect perfection. Add a touch of abstract.

I haven't painted since Christmas. It's been a very long 6 months. Between moving to a new home, working, and my car accident anything extra I had in me at the end of the day I poured into my kids or I napped (let's be honest). Tonight I dug through boxes in the garage and was able to gather enough to paint my ugly stool to turn it into a little table for my morning coffee. She needs to be sealed so she'll weather the elements but it's a cheery addition to my new porch. 🌻💛

My page has been 🦗. I have been MIA as my family had been going through a season of change. I miss my art. It is a part of myself that keeps me grounded. It is a joy and a talent that God blessed me with. I posted a pretty picture in my stories of my New gallery wall. In all truth it's in a new home. And this is not a pretty picture but this is a picture of the craziness of trying to create a new home for our 4 kids, unpack, organize, purge, take- out meals, can never find a pen, thankful to have internet, working from home, one kid on campus, 2 still distance learning, trying not to kill my plants, surviving a crazy car accident, fighting the government to prove I'm not dead, and making sure I don't neglect my husband in the madness. Thank you for still liking and following my page. Thank you for the continued referrals. Thank you for sharing my page. I can't wait to paint with you all again.
