How does the Account Management and Creative Agent program work?

Step 1: Plant a Seed

Join our first 90-minute intro training session on Jan 23 (one additional date will be available too) You are totally welcome to join this first session even if you're not *sure* you want to commit to the whole program. It's broad and helpful for any sort of freelance creative business.

Step 2: Grow Your Roots

If we both feel like there’s a fit for you as an AP Account Manager and Creative Agent, you’ll join the subsequent two 2-hour deep dive trainings, complete with all the tools you need, the strategies we’ve used to become the top creative entertainment and typewriter poet agency in the world, and opportunities to practice basic selling and business development techniques.

Step 3: Start to Sprout

To graduate, you’ll do a self-directed project that takes about 3 hours to complete, and get 1:1 feedback and help with an AP team leader.

Step 4: Unfurl Your Leaves

You and the rest of your cohort will get to implement your new skills to field incoming inquiries, pursue your own opportunities, and build your book of business with just a few hours per week on your own time (of course the more time you commit the quicker you will grow and start earning your own entrepreneurial income) with help, mentorship, guided coworking, and tools provided by the whole AP HQ team.

Step 5: Bloom with Friends

Within a few weeks of dedicated effort, you can expect to see results in your life in three key areas:
* Material Resilience (money in your bank account)
* Creative Freedom (your interest + effort = your income on your terms)
* Spiritual Satisfaction (no soul-sucking “boss,” more time to pursue your dreams and take good care of yourself)

In a nutshell, 2023 was ’s best year EVER, and I attribute that very much to Zoe (.and.phrase) and the launch of our Creative Agents Account Management Program this Fall.

I had the idea to create the program a couple years ago, and with all the layoffs and artificial intelligence losing a lot of freelance writers their jobs, I realized it was of critical importance to share my knowledge with empathic artists striving to survive and dare I say thrive in a challenging landscape and economy.

We launched the training in August.

10 of 11 poets who underwent the training and joined the program have gone on to become AP Junior Account Managers, fielding incoming inquiries with our support, building their personal confidence, and amassing professional skills and financial literacy they didn’t have just 4 months ago. I cried reading some of their feedback at the end of the year.

We designed this training to be accessible to anyone who has fluency in English, a laptop with google chrome, a smartphone, fast reliable wifi, and these five characteristics:

1. ambition
2. curiosity
3. empathy
4. creativity
5. self-determination

Curling up with a poetry anthology and hot tea is exactly what this winter weather demands.

It seems was channeling some sort of frustrated yet loving ancestral muse who was trying to get a message to the humans of the United States on Sunday night at , where the theme was a celebration of the people helping grow and support the film industry in Louisville, Kentucky. Yes we’re talking about you @502.film 🫵

Topics ranged from individualism / collective consciousness, the love of the River City aka Bourbon City (thanks ) optimism, love songs, turning thirty, cameras, hospitality and of course the dreaded “just look at me and tell me about myself” 🫠😮‍💨🫡

But LAMARKS took it in stride and here are the receipts to prove it. POEMS ARE THE RECEIPTS OF YOUR VULNERABLE INTERACTION WITH A STRANGER WHO DOES NOT WISH TO HARM YOU.

Not even sure why we’re sharing these here now… when the cognitive dissonance of violence blares louder than it seems any poem anyone could write, or sing, or shout.

But maybe the hope is that one day, one poem will break through to the other side.

Beautiful, grounding, inspiring poem by our friend, poet, astrologer, and community leader . The first poem (a haiku) that our founder wrote and kept at age 7 in Sacramento CA was a haiku about how her dad was like a redwood tree. Trees and forests remain one of the greatest inspirations to poets around the world. Thank you Heidi for sharing your gift with the world and letting us share this!
