The 2024 race season has begun here at the Georgetown OHV where the trails are raw, loose, technical, and down right sketchy in some sections. We call that “perfection”! Excitement and nerves seem to be the theme around the campsites where racers are getting their gear ready and fueling up their bodies in preparation for what will be a physically demanding race day. The winners at this venue will be the ones who worked on their fitness during the off season because this course requires a lot of pedaling, including long arduous transfers and thigh crushing flat sections on each stage. Buckle up because the pain cave will be in full effect tomorrow.

When you don’t have models/riders for a shoot/project then just improvise and shoot yourself 😉

The 4th stop of the Ca Enduro Series hosted by is setting up to be a racer’s dream as Mother Nature is serving up cooler than normal temps and hero dirt. Afternoon thunderstorms over the past few days have turned the usually loose and dusty end of seasons trails, into rubber gripping delight. Today’ practice was halted for over an hour due to lightning and racer’s used the break to share course strategies and get a little skills practice on the Gatorade drop course. Participants who find themselves on the podium this weekend will need to be the “total package” enduro rider. They will need fitness for the transfers and flat pedal sections on the course, keen bike handling skills in the raw chunky technical rock gardens and creative fast line choices. This will be a weekend of “foot out..flat out” racing.

Practice is officially over for the 3rd stop of the Ca Enduro Series hosted by . Stifling heat, moon dust and loose conditions will make for a challenging day of racing. Not the norm for an enduro race, participants will enjoy chairlift rides to every start gate which puts one’s fitness level low on the list of ingredients for success. To get on the podium this weekend it will come down to line choices, mastering the loose corners, staying hydrated and having flawless runs. Let’s see who will claim “fastest” on Mt Shasta…

Georgetown OHV is stop #2 and a hot dusty day of practice has come to an end. The four stage course provides various challenges for the racers including loose unpredictable terrain, large ruts filled with rocks and roots, and tire eating jagged rock gardens. Out here line choice is key in order to keep it up on two wheels but overall fitness may determine who stands on the top step of the podium; there are long arduous transfers and each stage will require red line pedaling. Let’s see who can keep it pinned all day 🏁
