🚔 Some new handmade scrap wood burn flags are being created this weekend! Having a getaway from work life is healthy, especially if you’re in law-enforcement or other related fields. This is what I enjoy creating on my days off. 😎👍 What do you like to do on your day off?

Here is why we haven’t posted anything in a few weeks. 🇺🇸👉 We are building a new Holmes Wood Burns woodshop since we have moved to our new home! We are super excited for our new shop but we have a lot of work left to do inside our new building. Who wants to see progress photos over time as we build?

🇺🇸While others ran away from gunfire in the shooting at King Soopers, Eric Talley, a police officer with the Boulder Police Department, ran towards the gunfire to save others.

This man had seven children, and he was someone who most likely would have ran towards gunfire, even if he wasn't a police officer. Police work was a second career for Talley, and he got into the field because "he felt a higher calling," it said in an article I read.

We all should be grateful for the courage this man had and always remember - He was a man, a father, and a born hero first before he put on the badge.

My dad would say, “You're a Holmes! Therefore, you will never give up on anything.”
Those words stuck with me my entire life, and It didn’t matter if it was a career goal or a new challenging project, I never gave up on it.

I found old scrap wood in the shop and I put it all together to create this American Eagle Flag. 🇺🇸

The point here is that you can always turn what seems to be nothing into something cool👍
