During my recent stay at a lifestyle resort, I had numerous conversations about STI testing with fellow guests. Surprisingly, none of them had ever undergone throat swab testing for gonorrhea or chlamydia by their doctors.

A few weeks back, a friend shared an incident where the phlebotomist at her doctor's office lacked knowledge in conducting throat swab exams for gonorrhea and chlamydia.
