A little bit ago we got the call that Annie’s mother has passed. We were attempting to get through the rest of the day and evening, but with heavy hearts it’s extremely difficult. We’re closing to be with family and to celebrate the life of this inspiring woman who has touched so many us with her kindness and acceptance for all. We love you Jules ❤️

UPDATE: CLOSING 8/16-8/20

Thank you all for the kind words and messages. Seeing mama Julie light up last night eating her favorite Arroy food and being able to share it with everyone at Quiet Oaks was truly a treat.

After much debate, we have decided to close for the rest of the week. Julie has vocalized that what she wants is us with her as much as possible at this time. What’s most important is being with her and making these last days special. Time is fragile, and we can’t get it back.

Some of you may be wondering why we can’t do both. Why can’t we be open and put responsibilities onto others? As owners we are extremely hands on in our kitchen, being the only two on the wok station and Adrienne being responsible for cooking all curries, meats, sauces, and Filipino dishes for that day. Without us there, it’s extremely difficult for the restaurant to function. We apologize for any inconvenience, especially because we know you all love our food just as much as Julie does.

Thank you for allowing us to be open with all of you. Arroy is more than just a restaurant, it’s a community, a safe space. Your kindness and understanding mean the world to us, and we are grateful for your ongoing support.

CLOSING TODAY 8/15 AT 3PM

As some of you may know, Annie’s mom was transferred to hospice last week. It has been a very difficult transition and we thank you all for your patience as we try to navigate what is best to do for us and our staff with a portion of our team being family.

Tonight we’re catering dinner to Quiet Oaks for residents, their families, and staff. With this being one of the last times we can all be together to have family dinner, we are closing the restaurant at 3pm so we can make this evening extra special for mama Jules. Thank you for understanding. These moments and time with her are extremely important to us. We will update our hours when we can.
