I fully intended to race home, pull an all-nighter to post game pics of one of the most exciting games I've watched in Jacks football, a game they won 49-47 on a blocked field goal snapped with one second on the clock.
But this happened on the field. I saw it developing, and instead of focusing on the celebrations, I chose this moment.
THIS. This is why I love sports.
Our Lumberjacks won a game that was back and forth all night, changing leads multiple times in the 4th quarter. Sam Gish blocked the FG attempt, and there was absolute mayhem on the field in celebration.
But both teams didn't get to celebrate. My Jacks did...but Tech didn't. And #6 for St. Cloud was devastated.
Instead of running over celebrating with their teammates, these boys saw their opponent on the ground, and dropped down to a knee to comfort him.
Kasey, along with Kohen, Trenten, Dominic, and Ty all showed up for #6.
They may not make it to State, they may not even win the semifinal game Saturday, but to me? They've already won.
These boys are winners on a much higher level. All season they have exemplified sportsmanship, defied the odds when player after player went out injured, and showed up tonight with a big win at home, especially sweet for the seniors.
But none of that is as sweet as seeing what these boys did AFTER the game. Showing what true sportsmanship is.
Lumberjacks, I'm proud of you. Players, coaches, cheerleaders, and fans...you have made your Bemidji community proud!

Here is the new article this jerk. I just want people to know he stole much more than that from me, it was around $100,000 over time. I cut this deal back in Oct of 2019 so I could get paid faster, but he and his lawyer kept coming up with excuses to drag it to March 2021. They said the whole time they were going to take the deal. It was handled terribly in the courts.
He hurt my company and my reputation by doing this. I am still dealing with the aftermath from this. As he sits in his new house that he purchased in 2019 as he had charges pressed against him. He has shown Zero remorse for what he has done.
