✨ TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY ✨
"I became homeless as a victim of domestic violence. I heard of Switchpoint and hoped they would be able to help me in one of my lowest moments. I am so grateful for the support of Switchpoint's residential program and the programs they have to help get me back on my feet. The staff here are caring and loving and they have honored my situation with dignity. I am truly grateful."

Here are some of our favorite highlights from S*xual Assault Awareness Month last month. Our team was invited to several amazing events and hosted our very first event. Thank you to everyone who came and supported this cause and helped spread awareness. A special thank you to the DOVE Center for truly doing their best and bringing our community together. It was a great month and we are excited to make bigger plans for next year 🩵
Happy Nurses Week to all our wonderful forensic nurses 🥳 We appreciate all your hard work and dedication to our work. Thank you for being a part of our team 🤍 We would also love to celebrate all the nurses out there as we know your work is important to all around us. Thank you to everyone and we wish you all had an amazing week 😁
Language matters!
This Star Tribune headline is harmful, irresponsible, and misleading. When reporting on cases where an adult abuses a child, language must be explicitly clear. It’s not “sex,” “sexual contact,” or “a sexual relationship.” It is sexual abuse and sexual violence. And, every article about sexual or domestic violence should include a hotline. Together with Violence Free Minnesota, we call on media to report ethically on sexual and domestic violence.
Please join us in recognition of all the missing indigenous women and relatives. Take action!
Violence against women is widespread. Unfortunately, marginalized communities suffer at increased rates.
This week is National Week of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives. The hope is to spread awareness about the violence experienced in indigenous communities and give a platform for indigenous people to amplify their voices.
Help protect our Native sisters
Ask Congress: Pass the BADGES for Native Communities Act More than 4 in 5 Native women experience violence in their lifetime, often at the hands of non-Indian perpetrators, yet chronic underfunding in Indian Country has left Tribes and Tribal law enforcement agencies without the resources necessary to ensure public safety.
On the last day of S*xual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) we hope that you heard the voices of survivors and the need for change, support, and a safe place to disclose their trauma and begin healing. We will continue to share throughout the year but leave you with this video that we had the privilege of recording for the Utah & Me show. Shout out to Sherrie for her bravery and Melissa Anderson for inviting us and seeing the need for additional awareness for the work that we do .
