@ The North End Event Center - MN State Fairgrounds
***the gallery will be closed this weekend
Looking for something to do this weekend? I know you’re all likely hungover from fried butter and buckets of cookies from the state fair, but get your butts back to the fairgrounds for the 24th Annual Design Show and Sale. We are in a new location this year - The North End Event Center, just north of the fine arts building.
This year promises to be bigger than ever with amazing exhibitors and lots of art, objects, and furniture for you to gawk over.
Come say hello. See you there!
Saturday 10-5
Sunday 10-3
ATTN. PROJECT SEEKERS….(or non OCD collectors).
We have a pair of Fiberglass “Melania” Chairs by Rodolfo Bonetto for Driade, Italy, 1970. Structurally sound but with some aesthetic boo-boos. Some chips. Some cracks in the paint. Fiberglass is in great shape. They just need sanding, bondo and repainting to bring these back to showroom condition. OR just enjoy them as-is. An iconic design.
DM for more info. $180 for the pair.
Need some color in your life? New to the gallery are
3 pieces by Ilya Bolotowsky and 3 by Takesada Matsutani. Some unframed. Both master print makers. One from Russia and one from Japan. Very well regarded and held at prestigious, museums and galleries around the world, including MOMA and the Smithsonian.
Also have a fabulous (rare) green Francois Ghost Mirror by Philippe Stark for Kartell.

We love seeing where our art and furniture end up. We couldn’t think of a more perfect location for this chair.
We have Russel Wright for days. They happen to be my 3 favorite glazes. Please buy them before I hoard them at my house. Buy em as a set or individually to complete your own set.

Available now! A combination of a side chair and a barrel chair, the Sinistra chair designed by Paul Haigh (b. 1949) for Bernhardt in 1987 was described by the artist as “the meeting of two chairs in one object: the generic side chair and the traditional barrel chair.” Rich wood veneers and aubergine leather combine in this compelling Postmodern design that has a striking sculptural presence. The Sinistra chair was honored with an award by International Design Magazine Annual Design Review and a gold award by IBD.
Available in store or on our website.

Obviously….
Tino Costa (1891-1947) was an artist often referred to as “The Painter of Kings and Presidents.” Considered to be one of the finest portrait artists of the 20th century, he was commissioned to paint such world figures as King Christian of Denmark, King Constantine of Greece, and Presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover. Costa was also commissioned to paint legendary actors and actresses of the period including Sir Lawrence Oliver and Shirley Temple.
We have a collection of his studio drawings and a few paintings available, including this extraordinary self portrait.
Reach out with any questions!

Only the 1950s could produce such kitsch.
My framer knows how to make me happy. These hand painted beauties are new from Italy. Can’t wait to use one of these frames on a project.
Our new employee is a real pain in the ass…
