From the land of sunkissed beer guts, Stillwater, MN, in the scenic St. Croix Valley, Chris Maddock performed in the 43rd Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition in 2018. 🎤 Don't miss Nate Abshire at Laugh Camp Comedy Club July 19th and 20th! Nate Abshire started performing comedy in 2009 to spite a girl who wouldn’t return his calls. The following year, he finished runner-up in the “Funniest Person in the Twin Cities” contest. In 2012 he ventured west and was a semifinalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition. In 2013 Nate performed at Laughfest in their “Best of the Midwest” contest finishing runner-up, and he was chosen to open for Mark Maron, Whitney Cummings, and The Sklar Brothers at various shows in Minneapolis. It was certainly a fitting comparison as Ronn later became a writer for Rivers on her hit E! Television show "Fashion Police." Ronn regularly performs at comedy clubs, colleges and festivals across the nation. He also co-hosts the sports-comedy podcast, "Switching Teams: A Gay Dude & A Straight Dude Talk About Sports."
