Milton Allegro is an incredibly sweet boy who loves making biscuits, chasing toys, and snuggling up. When he's not busy doing one of these things, he can usually be found lounging on the window canopy watching birds.
Milton loves hunting and stalking his prey (colorful balls or dry kibble) and will take his time, waiting for the right moment to strike! Playtime and after eating is when he has the most energy. When he gets the zoomies, he'll dive through tubes and launch himself across the room. His favorite toys are ribbon and feather wands and will usually play until his foster mom gets too tired. Milton's a very curious boy who wants to explore and especially loves high places where he can get a good view. When he's had enough pets or needs space, he may communicate by licking or gently putting his teeth on the skin.
Milton is very welcoming and loves meeting new people. He shows affection immediately but will love you even more if you have a treat. He is food-motivated, which has been helpful in clicker training! Milton responds very well to his name and other commands! Milton has not messed with any houseplants or knocked over any knick-knacks. He would prefer to be an only pet.
If you're looking for a goofy lap cat who loves to play, chat, and snuggle, Mr. Milton is right for you!
Milton is in a foster home. View the following for more information and to fill out an inquiry: https://us10d.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=5316&template=animalview
Happy Caturday! Does your cat respond to their name? 😼 Nathan W. Pyle
Hi! My name is Happy Blanche. I am a 9-year-old black and white diva with a unique charm. I have a neurologic condition that makes me partially blind and unable to jump, but it doesn't stop me from being a loving companion. I take daily medication to help me feel my best and I need a little assistance with grooming and baths a few times a week.
I can be a bit shy at first and take some time to adjust to new spaces and sounds. I've lived with dogs before, and as long as they give me space, we're good friends. When I first arrived at my foster home, I had some trouble with the litter box, but now I use it about 90% of the time, especially if it's a flat pan. I sometimes need help keeping my feet clean, finding my food bowl, and getting back to my favorite blue hut. That's where you come in!
I'm a very sweet kitty who loves to be around my humans. Walking between your feet is my favorite game, and I enjoy batting around my little toys. I have plenty of energy and love lounging with my humans. I'm hoping to be an excellent companion for a long time yet!
Happy Blanche is in a foster home. Check out the following for more information and to fill out an inquiry form: https://us10d.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=5835&template=animalview
Alumni update on Syd (formerly Reese's Pieces)
Syd is doing great! She's becoming more and more confident by the day. It's been so fun to learn about her quirks and watch her explore whenever she finds something new. She's very polite and doesn't get into much trouble at all. She likes small objects and her favorite toy is a little squirrel that I tie to the end of a wand which she will CHASE as fast as she can. She is SO athletic and very good at hunting. She doesn't wake us up at night, but she does bring her toys into the bed while we're sleeping which is adorable. And she sticks her tongue out like 60% of the time!!
We are so happy with how she is doing and cannot wait to see her open up even more as she continues to settle in.
Gloin and Oin are bonded and must be adopted together.
Gloin and his siblings are brave adventurers seeking their new forever home, whether it lies far over the Misty Mountains cold, or just across the Twin Cities. Distinguished by his elegant long fur, Gloin loves to play, explore, and relax with his siblings, especially his sister, Oin. Just don't try to sneak some Elvish medicine into his food -- he's too smart for that!
Some kittens are more like grocers and some are more like Burglars, and Oin is a bit of both. She's excited to run and chase on Adventures, but always wants to be home in time for dinner, where she can cuddle up with a human and purr contentedly. She is a real sweetheart who's not afraid to throw down with her siblings, especially Gloin.
Gloin and Oin have experience with Big People (adults) and Hobbits (children), and have been friendly with other cats, but have no experience with wargs (dogs).
They are in a foster home. Check out the following for more information and to fill out an inquiry form: https://us10d.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=6024&template=animalview
Having greenery in your home is great, but some plants can be toxic to cats. Here are some safe and beautiful plant options for cat owners:
- Spider Plant: A popular choice due to its hardiness and hanging foliage.
- Air Plants: These require minimal care and come in unique varieties.
- Cat Grass: Provide a safe alternative for cats who enjoy nibbling on greenery.
- Ponytail Palm: This low-maintenance plant adds a tropical touch.
- Bromeliads: These colorful plants are safe and come in stunning varieties.
Remember: Always research plants before bringing them home to ensure they're safe for your feline companion.

Hi, my name is Suryah and I am much more of a social butterfly and love bug than my buddy Cookie. My nicknames should be squeeker and inchworm as I love to wiggle across the floor when I am being petted and I prefer to squeak and purr than meow. I have been super adaptable and am friendly with kids, adults, little dogs, and big dogs. Catnip is my vibe, as are wand toys. I am also very content to roll around with catnip toys.
Cookie and I sometimes play together, but we have our own favorite humans that sleep in different rooms and we would rather cuddle with our own people than with each other. I love to climb, explore, and chirp at things outside of the window. I am a kitty extraordinaire ready for any family.
Suryah is compatible with Cookie Ariana, but they can be adopted separately.
Suryah is in a foster home. Check out the following for more information and to fill out an inquiry form: https://us10d.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=6029&template=animalview
If you're looking to adopt two literal angels, then look no further. Reginald and Shalleigh are a pair of bonded senior boys who have so much love to give. They love to be kissed and hugged. They love to cuddle with each other and with you. They even like to cuddle with each other while on your lap! They will follow you around the house and keep you company during any activity. They will greet you when you come home and be sure to greet any visitors you have with a warm welcome. I can't express enough how affectionate and adorable these two are.
They're mostly pretty mellow, but they both have certain toys they enjoy playing with for a few minutes a day.
They are very food motivated and will make sure you don't forget when it's mealtime.
If you're interested in being absolutely showered with love, these two are for you!
Reginald and Shalleigh are bonded and must be adopted together.
They are located in a foster home. Check out the following for more information and to fill out an inquiry: https://us10d.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=5781&template=animalview
Congrats to our 4 new graduates who found homes this past week! 🎓🎉 Pennilynn, Simpson, Fairygodboss Missy, & Quinn!
Our fosters are still available for adoption during our temporary shelter closure and 3 of our long term fosters found homes this week! Simpson was adopted by his foster mom after 1 year. Pennilynn and Fairygodboss Missy were both very shy when them came to us but they found their families after each waiting 6 months!
Our shelter is temporarily closed for deep cleaning from a URI outbreak and process improvement but you can find your next kitty by filling out an inquiry form to meet our foster kitties or learn more: https://felinerescue.org/111-adoptable-foster-cats-2/
*Hat Coat and Smiley Face are bonded and must be adopted together.*
Hat Coat and Smiley Face are a pair of sweet four-year-olds. Once they get comfortable, they are playful, cuddly and entertaining. Their crackly meows are very cute and they love cuddling with each other. Smiley enjoys sitting on your lap when you're sitting, and on your chest when you're laying down. His motor like purr is charming as long as it doesn't keep you awake. He loves gently pawing at your face or any other bare skin. Hat prefers not to be picked up, but will generally accept face and back scratches. In the evening and mornings, he will often join Smiley and sit next to or on you. Both enjoy playing with small toys and occasionally wands. They startled easily, and appreciate a verbal heads up when you're approaching them. They both love getting brushed and have had no problems with using their litter box.
They both love to watch birds and any outdoor activity through open screened windows. If you forget to open a window, they will urgently remind you. During their five month foster they interacted with two different dogs. The boys would tolerate or possibly enjoy living with a calm dog, who is not interested in barking at or chasing them. They have not interacted with any children and due to their easily startled nature would perhaps do best with children over 12.
Though a bit shy at first, they become lovely interactive little companions and are ready to show their sweet natures.
Smiley Face is special needs due to cataracts in his eyes that will need regular checkups with his veterinarian.

My name is Cookie Ariana and I am spicy with trust issues, and it may take awhile to gain my trust. I may sniff you, play with you with a wand, and eat a treat from you, but that does not mean I want you to pet me yet. I will hiss and swap at you if you displease me until I trust you.
I have learned to trust one human and now I follow him like a lonely puppy everywhere he goes (the garage, the shower, breakfast table; boundaries only apply to others). I cuddle with him, play with him, and must be touching him while I am sleeping. I am slowly working through my spiciness with others, but when my human is gone, I will explore, look out windows, and beg for attention, but won't let others pet me yet.
I am not afraid of my foster's little dog, but gets scared when his brother from another mother, the big dog, comes to visit. Zoomies with Suryah and staring down my foster mom are my vibe.
Cookie Ariana is compatible with Suryah, but they can be adopted separately.

Happy Caturday! Comment with the most recent photo of your cat(s) 🐈
Pita is a fan favorite. Every time the foster's elderly mom stays over in the guest room (a/k/a the "kitten room") Pita jumps up on the bed and seeks her out for play. Pita is extremely outgoing and adventurous. He loves his mice toys.
Siblings are Pumpernickel and Teacake.
Since he is positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), he can only cohabitate with FeLV+ cats, dogs, or other non-feline animals, though. FeLV is species-specific and only contagious to cats; it is not contagious to humans, dogs, or other non-cat animals. He must always remain an indoor kitty and needs to be fed a nutritionally complete and balanced diet. Kittens can live up to 2 years old -- or sometimes even longer -- so we would love nothing more than for him to spend that time with a family of his own. For this reason, his adoption fee is waived.
Pita is in a foster home. Check out the following for more information and to fill out an inquiry form: https://us10b.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=5949&template=animalview
Bubba is an outgoing and playful cat who likes to explore, nap, and eat! His favorite things are wand toys and catnip. Because of his curious nature, it is best to keep any food and house plants out of reach as he likes the soil and a leafy snack. While Bubba does love attention, he's pretty independent and prefers roaming and playing to cuddling. Bubba has a tendency to nip when he wants to play, so he would do best in an home without young kids. Overall, Bubba is a very sweet and silly cat that would make a great companion.

Alumni update on Salem (fka Solar) 🐈⬛️
He loves his new cat tree (I’ll include pictures below) loves to be outside but sadly doesn’t wear his harness so we can’t bring him out much. We love having him and are so grateful to give him his new home. We recently took him to the vet and he did such a great job, he truly is the most cuddly cat we have ever met. But he is still the most mischievous little guy ever (we almost named him Loki due to his mischief)
Dori and Nori are bonded and must be adopted together.
Dori is a bundle of energy who will wrestle a Goblin with the same ferocity he'll tuck into a Bag End feast (a tube of Churu). Just make sure he doesn't blunt the knives! This striking tabby and adorable maniac loves to be in motion but isn't averse to a good cuddle with his siblings or foster parents.
Nori is an adventurer! He likes to explore, run, climb, tackle and play with his siblings -- especially Dori. Nori also likes watching the outside world through a window, and makes time to snuggle when he tires from playing. Nori is quite social and will always greet his foster parents when they enter his room.
Both Dori and Nori have experience with Big People (adults) and Hobbits (children), and have been friendly with other cats, but have no experience with wargs (dogs).
They are in a foster home. Check out the following for more information and to fill out an inquiry form: https://us10b.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=6019&template=animalview
Hi there! My name is Izzy and I might get along with dogs as I enjoy rubbing against the foster's dog and showing him some affection. When it comes to other cats, I tolerate them, but I do prefer to keep my distance and I'm not really interested in becoming friends with the other cats. I have what they call "tortitude" and I like to decide when I want to spend time with other pets or people. If there are young kids in the house who don't understand the concept of personal space, I might not do well as I sometimes communicate with my paws if I don't want attention. You can often find me by the windows, enjoying the view from high places. There's something about those elevated spots that really fascinates me. I hope to find a loving home where we can create amazing moments together!
Izzy would do best in a home with with no young children.

Foster Caregivers live all over the Twin Cities and open their homes to take care of nursing/pregnant queens, underage kittens, special needs adults with injuries or chronic medical conditions, and frail/elderly cats. If you can provide the space in your home and the love in your heart, we’ll provide the rest!
Peanut Calzone is a sweet and laid-back cat with a touch of spice who is ready to join your family. She is ready to purr beside you or slightly on you as you watch tv, read, or sleep. If you're giving her chin and head scratches the purr will get louder. Peanut will gently tap you with her paw if you stop before she wants just as a friendly reminder to keep scratching. She enjoys being near you or at least in the same room to keep you company; although she is fine on her own. While Peanut is relatively calm, catnip toys entice her to play. She also enjoys looking out the window.

Laszlo is a handsome prince looking for his forever kingdom! He can be a bit shy at first, preferring to claim the underside of a bed as his castle, sometimes venturing out to survey the limits of his domain. Quickly, though, he opens up and becomes a bundle of cuddles. He loves to show love to his citizens, young and old, and he’d adore a home with lots of attention. Only a few pets are required to earn his royal purr, and he appreciates having a servant nearby, especially as he explores his new home. Take this (not so) little prince home today!
Laszlo would do best as an only cat- he doesn't like sharing the throne!
Laszlo is in a foster home. Check out the following to learn more about him and fill out an inquiry form: https://us10b.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=4457&template=animalview
Meet Neville, a charming feline eager to find his forever home. This playful kitty possesses remarkable athleticism and an insatiable curiosity. Playing is his true passion, and he fearlessly explores anywhere and at any heights, executing daring attacks, occasionally even hanging upside down to capture that elusive toy.
After a rigorous round of play, Neville wants to cuddle on your lap and welcome copious amounts of petting. Until he notices a toy and then he is off again! Neville is a silly boy and he will occasionally emit a playful growl at invisible foes and sometimes before attacking his meal. While he is fearless around imaginary adversaries, he may be frightened by loud noises. This independent guy likes to get his way and may give warning nibbles to indicate his preferences or to grab your attention for a playful interaction. If you do not take his hint, then he may attempt a bite to fully grab your attention. Due to this tendency, Neville may not be the best fit for younger children. Neville's attention can be redirected during these times and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. A stable and predictable environment where Neville is the only pampered pet will enable him to thrive.
Neville is in a foster home. Check out the following for more information and to fill out an inquiry form: https://us10b.sheltermanager.com/service?account=da1619&method=animal_view&animalid=5707&template=animalview
