Can't believe it's been 27 years since I painted the cover image for Journey's album Trial By Fire! This was a dream come true for a teenager who fantasized of one day illustrating the cover of a rock album. Thanks to Gary Cooper Stuckey for reminding me.

Deeply grateful to juror, Chris Pollins, Executive Director of the Chestnut Creek School of the Arts. The award was co-funded by the Nadine Allen Memorial Fund and the Blacksburg Regional Arts Association.

Congratulations to the other award winners and all the artists who made it into the exhibition.
