Today marks 1 year since my sweet Dad passed away. He taught me everything I know about toffee, and most importantly he taught me to work hard, never give up, and to be kind always. My dad was passionate about tennis, the color green, classical music, banana cream pie and anything caramel, turkey & cranberry sandwiches, reading, the phrase “Great Scott”, and doing service for others. I miss our weekly lunch dates, his great laugh, and especially making toffee together. It has been an honor to be his daughter, and I hope to make him proud. Love you, Dad!! 💚💚💚💚

I had an exceptional order this week! This darling gal’s mother, Catherine Pedersen, passed away almost a year ago. Catherine was a dear friend of mine, who unfailing supported my toffee and theatre endeavors. She was beautiful and classy in every way! Every August, she would take her daughters and granddaughters to Cedar city for the Shakespearean festival. This year will be the first time that these girls will be doing the trip without her. Catherine’s daughter, Rebecca wanted to do something special in honor of her mom. She reached out, and asked if I could make toffee for all the girls to take down to Cedar City. What an honor this was for me! I was thrilled to make a few of Catherine’s favorite flavors, like Salted Caramel Cashew, for this sweet family. Thank you, Rebecca Pedersen Sorensen for thinking of me, and allowing me to make toffee in your mom’s honor. I miss her dearly, but am so happy to see her great legacy live on through her beautiful girls!! 💖💖
