I want to tell you a little about my divine feminine awakening - back in 2017, I was on honeymoon, visiting stone circles like Stonehenge and Avebury Henge. And Glastonbury, regarded as the ancient site of the sacred Isle of Avalon, with deep, mythical priestess lineage. At the time, I was in the beginning of a faith journey out of Mormonism, and seeking to stay connected to the Sacred.

While visiting the sacred sites, I felt a deep call from the Great Mother Herself to gather women in circle to share about how She was awakening within us. The Goddess Gatherings started in my living room that month, with just four of us, sharing delicious food and connecting with each other and with Her.

In the years since, I've continued my journey with the Divine Feminine. I still feel deep regard for Jesus and celebrate with my Christian brothers and sisters in my work at St. Paul's in SLC.

But my heart, my desire, has been to lean into the arms of the Mother, and the movement of Spirit. My devotion is centered in Feminine and animist-based spiritual practices, and I believe all life is sacred. This is one of the foundational principles of the Sacred Feminine.

A year ago, Girl God Books published the anthology, Songs of Solstice, and I adored how it took familiar carols and weaving in lyrics centering the Feminine and nature.

Then Kathleen Joan of Brigid's Flame and I connected, and we got SO excited about bringing together our respective "people" and communities who revere the Feminine. So, we decided to host this beautiful concert/sing-along, with glorious carols celebrating the Goddess and nature.

We will be joined by Trista Hendren of Girl God Books, singer/harpist Megha Morganfield and friends, Rebekah Myers, writer and curator of Sacred Sisters Full Moon Circle, Spiral Muse Band, the Reverend Jann Aldredge-Clanton, and writer/editor Sharon Smith.

It's this Saturday at 9AM PST/12PM EST/5PM GMT.

Diving into the Witch Wound tomorrow in the monthly singing circle!

The Witch Wound runs deep in the female psyche, especially for women of European descent.

Modern-day witch wounds can show up as:
*Having a hard time saying no
*Struggling with conflict and confrontation
*Feeling unsafe sharing your spiritual gifts
*Feeling like a misfit in your community
*Not being able to express anger
*Working really hard to be the "good girl"
*Have a hard time trusting other women to have your back

Our ancestresses, our wise women, our healers, our midwives, our sacred ones, were exposed to a multi-century reign of terror, which tore the sisterhood to shreds and forcefully brought women into near complete subjection to the male leadership of their time.

The trauma runs deep and wide, sisters.

But we are no longer in danger of being hung, tortured, or burned at the stake.

We were born to a generation with the awareness of and tools to begin healing intergenerational trauma. We were born in a time when, at least in the Western world, women experience a higher degree of safety than in times past. (Yes, there is a LOT of work left on that front, we are not done).

And we can begin this important work, now.
We can reclaim our voices.
We can free our lineage.

I wanted to hop on and say hello. And encourage you that no matter what you are facing right now, you matter. You are important. You are loved. Whatever is alive inside of you is sacred and holy, even if it’s anger, despair, Rage, grief, or any other feeling. Because you are sacred. Your existence is sacred. This world is better because you are here. Lots and lots of love from my heart to yours.

My hair loves Oregon. So does the rest of me!

Waiting for a flight. Feeling the big feels. Being a HSP/neurodivergent human in public spaces with the Big Feels used to mean I would hide or mask or shame myself when the Big Feels spilled out despite my best efforts. I’ve done a lot to release shame around how my nature bumps into social norms and expectations. It’s been a journey of acceptance and embracing. I understand better now that this big sensitivity is valuable and worthy of belonging inside me. And if I can belong to myself, I can have my own back no matter what.

What a delight to visit with on her podcast! Sara is a recent client, who experienced such beautiful growth during our time together. We team up on this episode to visit about how good girl programming impacts your voice, and the importance of finding your authentic voice as a woman. Got in a little snake medicine today at the healing expo. Such lovely beings. And they sure slither off your body quickly!

Offering sound healing mini sessions & a free healing singing class today (at 2:30pm) at the gorgeous Siempre venue in Draper. It’s so so lovely here. Classes & sessions are happening all day, culminating in a gala this evening. All proceeds are going to support a family with cancer expenses.

Hanging out while my kiddo is in tumbling class tonight. Being a mom is one of the greatest joys of my life. And it’s been one of the toughest journeys. One that’s created deep ravines in my being. Of both pain and rapture. Today I can say I’d do it all over again. She’s been worth it. ❤️

I developed an obsession with flowers over the last couple years - and not just looking at them. I grew an obsession with growing them! Starting their lives as baby seedlings, getting them out in the garden, tending them through the season, enjoying them in my home, and harvesting their seeds at the end of the season. I love experiencing the life cycle of annual flowers so much. This obsession creates a lot of beauty. It’s meditative, cultivating these lovelies. Their beauty has kept me in touch with my heart through a season of challenge & change. As a bonus, my three-year old daughter has developed a love for her flower friends: Thank goddess for flowers!

I’m hosting a women’s singing circle in the Salt Lake City area this Saturday evening. These circles are delightful. There’s a lot of connection, wonderful shares from the hearts, we sing songs, and Chance and explore our voices in new ways. They’ve been such a beautiful experiences. SLC-area friends - I’m hosting a singing circle this Sat evening at Sacred Energy Empowerment Center. The circles that we’ve had before are incredibly powerful. We laugh, we, sing, we chant, we express that which is unexpressed with raw sound. It is so cathartic and healing. The community of women who come is absolutely wonderful. Come and join us!
