Happy Utah State Capitol Day 🏛 Today, we celebrate the 107th anniversary of the dedication of Utah's historic house of government! The Capitol itself continues to project its iconic classical design and prominence, but the Capitol Hill complex looks a lot different today than it did in 1916 when it was first dedicated. VCBO is deeply honored to have played a role in the preservation, restoration, and development of the campus, helping to ensure it remains a civic landmark and functional seat of government for generations to come. After years of intensive planning and design efforts, we are especially looking forward to the completion of the North Capitol Building in 2025, a monumental addition to the site. When completed, we will have successfully planned and designed much-needed spaces for Capitol Hill operations, achieving the vision of the original complex master plan. #MasterPlanning #UrbanOctober #UtahArchitecture

VCBO's annual summer party is back! It was a blast to gather with our families and enjoy some great food from Fiore Pizza Catering, #SuperTaqueriaFoodTruck, Kona Ice, and even better entertainment. We painted a mural, played life-size Hungry Hungry Hippo, 9-square #volleyball, #pickleball, and more. Last but not least, we had our famous game of #Kickball Domination. The Bountiful Town Square Plaza project, designed by EPG Design, has been awarded BEST PROJECT in the ENR’s Best Projects Completed in the Last Year addition. This plaza, which we were honored to be a part of, was designed as a year-round destination for the community. Key features of the plaza include a unique water feature with a stream and cascading fountain for summertime fun, an ice ribbon that serves the community in the winter and is a great big-wheel course in the summer, and a small stage for community events. The site was zoned to accommodate food truck events, farmer’s markets, community festivals, movies in the park, and local arts events. Congratulations to all who were involved!
